Lots of good stuff coming up this weekend and next Monday evening! Also the rest of the month
locally and statewide

Alamo Area Council of Car Clubs (AACOCC) is having their twice a year cruise this Saturday.
Starting point is Rolling Oaks Mall Saturday Morning 8:30-9:00am

*BLANCO Market Days on the Courthouse Square. There will also be a Quilting Show at Uptown Blanco, directly across 281 from the Square. Parking will be available on Pecan St. Contact; Penny Thomas 830-833-5101
BUDA Pending (Cabela’s is in Buda and the Salt Lick is just 9 miles up the road in Driftwood) Contact: Elaine 512-295-9999
*BULVERDE The location will be at the “1850 Settlement” at 29360 Bulverde Road, in Bexar County. It is on the banks of the Cibolo Creek, just 1.3 miles north of Borgfeld Road, which is 0.5 miles west of US281. Contact: Sharon Hebert 830-438-4285
*CANYON DAM The Guadalupe River Nature Trail just below Canyon Dam has been recently expanded and the walkways improved . Park in the lot across the road from the dam, the one to the right of the river. Brochures are available at the trail head. Contact: Susan Vogel 830-899-2444
*JOHNSON CITY The Lyndon B Johnson National Historical Park at 100 Ladybird Lane is open for visitors. The Visitors Center has an interesting compact museum. They also give tours of LBJ’s Boyhood Home every 30 minutes. Contact: Liz Lindig 830-868-7128 ext 231
*Kyle The Kyle Visitors Center is at 100 N Front Street. They are in the old restored Train Station. The Texas Pie Company, 202 w. Center Street is just a block down the street. They serve sandwiches and salads along with pie. Contact: Christina 512-268-4220


*NEW BRAUNFELS The Heritage Village-Museum of Texas Handmade Furniture will be our stop in New Braunfels. They will provide a tour for your group and provide refreshments at their pavilion for their special rate of $3 per person. Contact: 830-626-2206
*SAN MARCOS Dick’s Classic Garage, 120 Stagecoach Trail. The museum has offered us a special rate of $5 per person. The normal rate is $10 for adults. They will have the classroom open for us with coffee, water and such. They open at 10AM. Contact: Kathleen 512-878-2406
Also the Confederate Air Force has a Museum/Hanger at the San Marcos Air Port off of TX 21. Their address is 1841 Airport Drive . There is no charge, but there is a donation box. v They have a number of WWII aircraft on display. Contact is Grant Lannon 512-396-1943 The San Marcos Visitors Center is giving us so coupons for discounts at Restaurants in their area. I will have those shortly.
The San Marcos Visitors Center has arranged a Hospitality Stop in downtown at the LBJ Museum, 131 N Guadalupe Street. They will provide refreshments and restroom facilities. For additional info call 512-353-3300.

*SEGUIN: The proposed Hospitality Stop will be the Seguin Heritage Museum, at 114 N River St in downtown Seguin. River Street runs on the East side of the Court House and the Museum is in the block just north of the Court house.

*WIMBERLEY The Wimberley Chamber and Visitors Center will be our Hospitality Stop. They will provide restrooms and parking. They are 1 block from the town business square. Wimberley C of C / Visitors Center is at 14100 Ranch Road 12. Contact: Carrie Harris 512-847-2201

October 22 at San Antonio Raceway is the Texas Timing Association Nostalgia Drags.
This is a truly rare opportunity to see the Altereds, Rails and Funny Cars from the
50's through the 80's. this is a BIG event for Nostalgia Dragracers so there will be a
very large turnout.
