Saturday is Coffee and Cars in OKC at Penn & Memorial. Last month, it was very cold, the turnout was great. I expect the same for Saturday. Better get there by 9am to choose a good spot.
Sunday, the Nissan Club has invited us to attend their first track day at the Sheriffs Track in Midwest City. If you plan on attending, arrive by 8:30am because the first group will start out at 9am. Cost is $35. Bring your helmet and make sure tires and fluids are in good shape. WE will be running a VIPERS ONLY group. This track is NOT about speed, but a chance to work on your driving skills-especially on cold tires and cold track. We run in a group of 5-6 for a 10 minute lap session. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your car and even if you don't want to drive you can come and ride along with someone at no cost. Any questions, please call Scott, Ken or me. Be looking out for more information on our Tech session at the end of March...Some members feel it is the most beneficial event of the year.
Location to Sheriffs track: NE 36th and Air Depot, go East on 36th 1/4 mile. Look for sign on north side of street, "Oklahoma county Sheriffs Training Facility". Please don't speed in this area. The local police have this well protected.
Respect the torque.
