Warranty better for old Vipers?

I am in the market to purchas a Viper.
Looking at 2004 vs 2005 SRT Conv.
Is it true that the 2004 has a 7 year warranty but the 2005 has only a 3 year warranty?
And if so... WHY???

you can get 10 year 100k extended for a lil' bit extra, go for that & drive the wheels off

2005 and 2006 I just learned only had bumper to bumper warranties for 3 years or 36,000 miles. Really stinks but go with an extended warranty and call Chuck Tator at 914 763 3136. His pricing beats EVERYONE!

2003 viper came with a 7 year 70,000 mile powertrain warranty.
