My GTS runs a bit hotter than my 1994 rt/10 did. What is the normal range? Mine runs about 200-210. Do you have to burp the 1998's? What is the difference on the Gen II's cooling system compared to the GenI's?
As long as you are under the red you are fine, they are made to run hot. 210 is actually pretty cool. It's not unusual to be hovering at or just above 240 on the track, in fact that's home base most of the time. Running 210 leaves you plenty of headroom, 200 is remarkable.
I think the Gen II cars have a half gallon less coolant but the coolant passages in the engine are more efficient than in the Gen I.
