This site went from being exceptionally mediocre to just plain dead. What happened? You all ruined this place! :nono:

All you have to do is post. And..... When you say us all, I look at your 22 posts and wonder. What effort have you made?

The site historically gets quieter over winter as well. When less people are out there driving their cars, there is less news and questions to report. Also, with no new Vipers on the horizon it's also less to report on.

Well, I'm not into Viper bashing and since that seems to be the M.O. of this site, maybe I don't fit in and therefore do not have much to say.

Please don’t confuse us with the other site.

People usually get out of a conversation what they put into it. I agree that bashing the Viper or FCA is not productive and if one feels it’s a real issue, get a lawyer. it can never be corrected on social media or message boards. Opinion

The quiteness of this site is because of the continual wars.

But some viper bashing does happen on this board, as long as dealers, FCA or vendors are not personally attacked.

Someone having a good spirited conversation following these lines in most cases if the viper model, type and year
is described and a question about your problem this site will light up with answering your questions.

This website is presently being rebuilt by the best web people and when it is fully completed it will outshine many car
    car websites on the internet.

So, spread the word VCA is alive and moving forward in 2018!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

    President

I was a lurker here years ago when the Gen 5 was released and this was more active. Almost every other post at that time was someone trashing the new gen Viper for some little nitpick here and there when it was a great car that really deserved a lot more respect than it got on reception. A lot of the biggest trolls were owners old older gen Viper owners / or people who don't even own or drive Vipers. I don't see it as a legal matter that requires lawyers involved...it's just GIGO (garbage IN garbage OUT). I'm not a fan of banning / overmoderation but this is literally the ONLY car forum where a disproportionate amount of the posters bash/degrade the car the forum is supposed to be representing routinely. Well, maybe not so much now, but before.

Yes, we removed all the “butt hurt” and “political” bans almost two years ago

Comes and goes. The era of the "forum" as a whole is dying
right now - Im watching it happen across the board with
other clubs im in, not only automotive. People are headed
    towards the instant-gratification-social-media (ie, Facebook,
Snapchat, ect...) where they can make a three-word comment,
collect their "likes" and move on... No one wants to conversate
    anymore...

On a side note, im not sure where the whole "bashing the car"
comment is coming from. We have a unique problem where
people buy Vipers thinking theyre going to be a comfort/technical
upgrade to their corvette and are sorely dissapointed when
they discover the raw nature of the car. And some of the new
Gen5 owners are having production issues with their cars
(which are valid complaints, considering) but as a whole, the
members here love the viper, club, and the whole package.

Anybody remember that time when Bonkers started spamming the site with Viper junk from Craig's List? That's what killed this club.

And thank goodness there is at least ONE forum that I can post on !!

I guess every other Viper forum that banned me is not desperate for traffic. Oooops --Hope I do not get banned for saying that !!;).

Now I feel bad for not using the past against you when I corrected your status for what I considered..... the past. I can assure you I didn’t do it out of desperation, it was done out of fairness. If you feel I’ve made a mistake, let me know and I will correct that mistake :)

Wow, haven't been on here in a while. I didn't think "the other site " crap was still going on. Too bad. Especially now.

Jeff is right. The other site was the "GenV bashing headquarters" during the spun bearing saga.

IMAG1036.jpg Hi everyone hope your cars are all snug as a bug and wrapped up for a long winter nap. Put all my children away 2 weeks ago with a little trickle juice, and a nice soft winter blanket cover. Left a plate of cookies and some milk next to the old wood stove in the Viper house in hopes that Father Viper will climb down the chimney with a bag of goodies. May you all have a merry merry Christmas and a happy Hew Year. Hows that for a friendly happy no drama post.
