    So I was reading on the old interwebs that there is going to be birthday celebrations though the coming year for the 1992 Vipers and that these birthdays start in December. I was courious about this and noted that 001 was a Jan 92 birth. The responses were cordial however they did not contain any proof of the discrepancy in the MDH and the expected celebration of the 25th Birthday of 001 in December. Upon further inquiry, the Birthday is confidential and cannot be disclosed {WTF}

How can a Birthday of a car be confidential. Was there some sort of illegal circumstances that led to this confidential stance or is it that the simple lack of facts lead to a misunderstanding of facts. Like the Viper being assembled in December 1991 and final assembly in early 1992 and because somewhere in a conversation it was noted that the Viper was built in December leaving out the final assembly details lead to such a claim

Guess we will never know as this confidential information is housed in the brain of this WTF moment

    Vj

Think I finally found the secret behind the classified information

    http://www.allpar.com/model/viphist.htm

    Well....

The one thing I do know, is allpar gets a lot of **** wrong, however, they could be right on this one.... Who knows. The question still remains, do we believe the data that is specific to the VIN's for the first Vipers or an article written by allpar that offers no real proof other than what they wrote

So there you have it, a WTF momentin Viper History

I'm going to stick with the Official MDH of VIN's 001, 002, 003

Damn, I should have used that in the Trivia

    From the article:
"In its first calendar year, 155 Vipers were made (both 1992 and early 1993s), with the $50,000 sales price......"
Have to question some of the facts when statements like this are included.
As to the release of the confidential info. Can you imagine the impact the release of that info would have? World peace; climate change; race relations? Better kept secret.

Today's Friday WTF is not a bad thing, it's pretty cool.... But how the hell did they get this done

So a Dealership in Ohio (yes I know the dealership) got two Vipers in two separate years 2016 & 2017 with an out of the normal sequence of VINs for the year, the same last 6 of the VIN

    200043 and 200043

    Both Billet Silver Metallic CC

Both GTC's and the 2017 is an ACR

the 2016 was sold and the 2017 as of my research is still an inventory item

Someone has some pretty good pull

    Rock on!!!!!

I was trying to get some more details and all my resources ran out

Off to work on the next.... WTF

My last WTF Friday... and it's Sunday

I have not posted in some time as I have evaluated my ability to contribute to the Viper Community. With great sadness and full understanding I know that contributing requires things I just don't have. I have enjoyed my time helping the Viper Community however there comes a time when either the wall wins or your forehead wins. The wall won.

I will and have returned to working on what I have the greatest passion for, most know that to be the Ram SRT-10!

I don't know if I will ever finish the work on Vipers. The Viper Community has proven that their need for such trivial information is non existant. I've had more interest for LE as they try and recover stolen property..... that is disheartening at best.

I still enjoy logging in and enjoying conversation, however, I will no longer bother people with numbers and hiring a team of lawyers to vet every post I would like to make is just not worth the cost to be an excited contributor, that, and I promise you my contributions won't be missed.

This is still the best club, they care more and genuinely respect their members and those that try to contribute

    So whats the WTF

    Well

What the **** was I thinking to believe I could be one of you

    Good day
    Vj

Amen brother... thats why I gave up the wrecked list and
the craiglists list... maybe why its so hard to get regional
presidents too... who knows... we'll see you around though,
so at least its not a total loss unlike some of the others
    we've lost in recent years.

Just remember that this attitude is very much concentrated
on the site - I think there are many, MANY, owners no
longer here that still appreciate effort when they see it...

Alright, time for my two cents on this matter. I just saw the comments posted by Granger. Those kinds of allowances on this forum are a huge contributing factor to why a lot of members choose not to take part in forum discussion.
I realize that we try to maintain an environment friendly to enthusiasts and members but there comes a time when constant abuse by those particular patrons should be cut off completely. Why pay for a membership just to be abused and insulted
By individuals who could truly give a crap about our members. When long standing, contributing members feel the need to leave, the ultimate idea of a "friendly atmosphere " trumps all . Frustration begins to set in and members would rather walk away
Than be the object of a jerks affection. Enough! People like Jeff should not endure comments like " the swallowing type" that is completely unacceptable. My apologies Jeff. That should have never been allowed. Thank you for your hard work and for endurance to this forum.
I apologize for the lack of respect shown to you and members who have just given up.

On another note, ill never join either of the other sites and certainly never Viper Alley, those punks over there must come from a Civic DX forum with their attitudes and drivel. While there are some threads here that are hard to glean knowledge from, that place is stupid. Someone asks a question and the next 5 pages is nothing but bullcrap and insults and the question never gets answered.

I'll see you get your Viper. Never really said good-bye. Will just be a happy observer, occasional poster, no longer contributor of Viper data.

For once we agree only Civic DX group would be an upgrade for them. Hang in there and that Viper will come. There needs to be a different approach when handling individuals with that kind of nature.
