Hey guys, I'm a new owner (well, since April) and finally got all my Viper Club stuff situated so here I am. Anyone in Northern Michigan interested in meeting up sometime let me know. I don't see too many Vipers up here, but I bet there are some hiding out in Traverse City so let me know! Also, if anyone knows of a reputable Viper Tech/Viper Dealership in the Northern part of Michigan I would like to have their number! Thanks, and let the good times roll!

Congrats on your new Dream car. Your club is listed in the regional forums (might need to wait for membership status to view). My wife and I enjoy the VCA events and do our best to make at least 4 "Holidays" per summer. You can probably drive to your club events, attend and drive home all in one day. I need 10 hrs to drive to the event. Enjoy.

I believe that you should search and find the thread that says VCA members can atttend the last Viper off the assy line at the Connor Plant for free. See history.

Welcome to the club and congrats on the new car:2tu:

My wife and kids are leaving tomorrow to stay at our house on Torch Lake for six weeks so I guess you could say we have some strong ties to northern Michigan.

There was a Mackinaw Bridge Viper cruise last year that had a strong response from the viper community. I don't know if that is an annual event or not but from the pictures I would say it was an awesome event.

Good luck and have fun with the new car.

Oh man...back in 1993, my Army barracks-mate's parents lived in Travers City. I went home with him on leave for the 4th of July and we went with his folks on their boat up the river to torch lake to watch the fireworks they light off the barge. Such a great time! The next morning, his dad tossed us a couple of snorkels and scrub brushes and made us get in the water and scrub the boat-bottom. It was cold, but we didn't care.

That's funny...my first trip to Michigan was when I was in the air force in 1987 for a friends wedding in Traverse City.

It's an awesome place. My kids enjoy telling their friends that they get to hang out with kid rock on fourth of july at "the sand bar" at Torch Lake. National Geographic titled it the most beautiful lake in America and the third best in the world and I think they got it right.

Another funny note - Michael Moore, the ultimate "anti-capitalist", has a four million dollar home on the lake. He seems to be enjoying the fruits of capitalism while all of the useful idiots are buying and believing his books and movies.

Thanks for the greeting guys - I have been watching this club for a while and knew it was a great group of people. I am about an hour from Traverse City so if anyone wants to meet up there sometime let me know. The local breweries are great, and in the fall the wineries are pretty good to visit from what I hear. I know the MCVO has a wine tour up there in the fall and I'm planning on attending. Ride on boys (and girls)!
