Well, as mentioned in other thread, paid for a 1:24 RT, never received it and never got a response to any of my emails. Ebay opened a case, gave the seller sufficient time to respond...which they didn't.

Ebay Customer Service ruled in my favor and put my money back in the PayPal account including shipping and any PayPal fees.

Thanks Ebay!

Had a similar situation happen to me on a $200+ item. Very pleased with the outcome. Seems they are focused on keeping buying coming back!

Glad to hear they came through for you. They've helped me out a time or two as a buyer. Unfortunately, ebay does not treat sellers as well. I had a buyer recently back out of a $3500 transaction (silver coins). Ebay wouldn't even let me leave negative feedback. As it turns out Sellers aren't allowed to leave negative feedback whatsoever. The ebay customer service agent I spoke with told me to leave a negative comment under the "Positive" feedback button. I hung up.

I knew that ebay was not pro-seller, but I didn't realize sellers can't leave negative feedback. Honestly, I don't understand how ebay expects part-time sellers to be successful. It's too bad overstock.com never really became a competitor.

Well, even though Customer Service did come through, I left negative feedback for the seller....he/she annoyed me so much by never answering an email, that I just had to say something. Not sure about Ebay CS and sellers, fortunately so far, have not had a problem. I buy and sell (or at least used to) drums and luckily, have always done well. For vintage drums, as with many vintage items, Ebay is probably the best source for finding.

For Viper stuff, if possible, would rather purchase from members or from/through Chuck!

I second this. Ebay needs to realize that if they don't have sellers they don't have a site. They cover buyers 100% but screw sellers when buyers screw them. I've about had it with selling on there anymore.
