I have a 96 GTS B/W I would part with for 39.5K firm. Has 21K miles. Car is the 12th 96 GTS Vin # and was built 5/26/96 before the debut of the 96 at the Indy 500 as the Pace Car. Car was built for a Chrysler Plant Manger in Detroit, but when he did not pick up from the dealer in Bloomfield, IL, it was sold to a guy who marketing promotion for Dodge. I have the names of both previous owners, both in the Detriot area. I bought the car in July of 08 with 17K on the clock. Car has ROE high flow cats, Borla Cat back exhaust, smooth tubes and K&N filters, poly motor and transmission mounts, Roe VEC III engine management system and MGW short shift knob and six point driver harness. I have the original exhaust, shifter, motor mounts and transmission mount. Car ran 11.997 at Gainesville Raceway at 120.66 on Hoosier drag radials at a Viper group outing last summer. The VEC III and Poly mounts were installed since then. Choice of 17" stock wheels with Pilot Sports with 50% tread or 18" Forgeline wheels with new Pilot Sports on the front and MT ET Street Drag Radials on the back.

Car has a clean carfax and no body damage, althought it has had some repaint. The original owner had someone back into the right front wheel and hood when he had had the car a week and since he had big mojo with Chrysler, they told him to take it back to the Conner Ave Plant and pulled a new tire, wheel and hood off the assembly line and put it on the car. This may be the only car to have body work at the Conner Plant by replacement with new parts pulled from the new car assembly line.
I had the front fascia painted due to rock chips, the hood painted due to a deep scratch over one headlight done by the previous owner, and the side sills repainted due to discoloration. from overheating of the factory cats. The car looks excellent overall, both in and out.

The car runs exceptionally strong and turns heads whenever I drive it. I have two sets of keys, remotes and the owners manual and a reproduction window sticker. The original owner still has the original window sticker and has said he will send it to me when he runs across it. I also have a rest of reproduction pace car stickers not on the car and a reproduction Dodge windshield banner as the pace car had. This is also not on the car. I also have a bunch of 96 Indianapiols 500 memorabilia such as programs, an unused ticket, pit pass, flags etc that would go with the car.

I am a 58 years old and a 10 year VCA member who also owns an immaculate 94 RT/10. I have had the 94 since 2000, but the 96 GTS is the car I always wanted. I am pretty meticulous about my cars. My wife is retiring and we hope to move soon and one car or the other has to go sooner or later. Car is really nice and I am not in financial distress, so the price is firm and I feel it is fair.

Send me an e-mail address if you are interested and want me to send pics.
