Just got our 97 GTS back last night with 50 more bhp!!!!

Dan Cragin from the Viper Shop used our Viper as a prototype for his new long tube header. The header is a 1 1/2" to 1 5/8" stainless steal stepped header with laser cut flanges and a merge collector.

Before the header the Viper put out approximately 409 bhp, including smooth tubes and K&N filters. After the header was installed the Viper put out 461 BHP AND 497 FOOT LBS TORQUE with the stock 2 1/2" cats and stock computer.

Needless to say we are EXTREMELY pleased with the results. If you have any questions feel free to contact Dan directly at The Viper Shop 310-395-2314.

Hi Rob, Do you have any other mods (cat-back) to the exhaust or is it all stock?

Thanks, the header deal was on mind but seeing he is local boy, looks like I will be going with this system.

How more torque did you get?

I don't suppose they have any idea what the Creampuff dyno number improvements would be yet?

That sounds like one NICE piece!! I have met Dan Cragin, and know him to be one of the TOP Viper Techs in the country.

One question on the dyno runs. You are stating BHP(Brake horsepower...........power at the flywheel) do you mean Rear Wheel Horsepower, which is what a chassis dyno reads?

Take care and enjoy your new exhaust,

Tom

When you say approximately 409 bhp I am guessing that is not a dyno tested number. I also have the same questions as Tom Welch and AB.

Dan the numbers sound really fantastic, congrats...However, what about ENGINE LIGHT problems?...No one has addressed a permanant solution...I have not purchsed headers for my 01 ACR because of the E/L situation...
