David, you had one of the fastest supercharged vipers there. Probably one of the fastest sc cars I've seen run so far. If anyone says mph doesn't count has got to be fooling themselves. I just get a kick out of these guys that say 4 - 6 mph aint no big deal : LOL. It takes alot more horsepower to make 4 - 6 more mph when you get up there in mph. Your et was getting better as you got in more passes, I saw you eliminate 3 or 4 cars in your class. Shame the rain spoiled the day. I was amazed when people told me this was your first drag race event and you never drove on slicks before. Treynors car started running better in the late day with the power lowered then came teh rain.
Doug Levin drove Dans car the night before with consistent 1.6 60 footers on stock pilots, never seen that before. There was a silver sc DLM car (not sure who) that ran better each pass down the track. Alberts car made one of the most amazing passes I've ever seen. And Sean Roes car was fast and for the money can't be beat.
I didn't mean to leave anybody out but I'm more of a forced induction guy.

That silver car was mine... One of the the oldest of the DLM set-ups... I have had it on over 2 years now. Still pulls 700hp to the tires!

It is amazing how much you get over the fear of drag racing when you line up next to someone with a faster car. My 2nd time at the drags, on stock tires [this was Tues night], I was running 11.49 at 132. 2.0 60' times too. And David [Dr. Roof] was spankin' me!

Wed I ran consistent 11.7s at 128 as I was _trying_ to figure out my 1-2 shift points. Kept spinning the tires too much.

Suffice to say, I owe a big thanks to the DLM pit crew... Michael and Craig. Those guys were helpful, supportive, and encouraging. And a special thanks to the ladies for taking care of my lady who had never liked drag racing _until_ tues.

When you buy DLM, you are buying a brand, and there isn't one out there I'd trust more. Always exceeding expectations.

After running side-by-side with David's car, I now know what it is like to get spanked by a faster DLM car. DLM Level II is on the horizon...

I may be DLM crazy, but I ain't Treynor crazy!

Just my two cents worth, but even with having some bad luck I too had the fun of pushing a 11.9 with a 128 mph trap speed. I really look forward to finding a way to make this car hook up to lower the ET's. Doug is second to none in taking care of his customers. We are a living proof, as we were able with Doug's help to find parts and a viper tech over the weekend to be able to drive home on time. Thanks again Doug and Tom. Gary

Just wanted to say thanks to My TUNER for his support at the Drag Racing Event! I found it pleasing that I spent My money with a shop that cares after the car is complete. To my surprise Doug offered his Guys Craig and Mike to Help with any Issues on the car's. (not just mine) From Changing Slicks to checking Oil or simply cleaning the car's up! No charge to customers and We did not ask he just took care of us. I felt like I had a pit crew there to help through the day.

You might find someone cheaper to do your Mod's But in my office we train our guys one thing! "The sweeet taste of a cheap price is long gone after the savor of poor workmanship settles in"! In My business i'm not the cheapest I'm SImply the best!

Not to take away from anyone else, But My DLM Supercharged Car is a work of Art! It was expensive, Yes. But The thrill of this car is worth it all. Nothing like raising the hood and having the fine polished blower sssembly reflecting back at you.

If I ever have a problem with my car, I Know Doug will stand behind it!!!!!!!! That is PRICELESS!!!!!

Doug is indeed a super cool guy. I dont own a viper, nor ever intend to, but i did have a chance to meet him and visit the shop when i lived in Miami. Very nice setup he's got and very personable. Even took time out of his busy schedule to shoot the breeze with a Supra owner.
Maybe one of these days ill have a car that will give his a run for thier money

1.6 60' on stock Pilots is pretty amazing Doug! How good was the track? Was the track prepped for the race? Roof's car sounds tough too.

I'll also add my thanks to Doug, Craig & Mike -- the whole crew showed up and helped Doug's customers go racing, and I saw them helping out other (non-DLM) cars during the racing as well. They're truly a class act all around. Frankly, though, everyone was very nice and helpful in person -- Albert, Sean, Dan Cragin, Tom -- and it's a reminder that most Viper owners are great people when they're not busy flaming each other over the 'net

Speaking personally, I was impressed with many of the cars there -- the RSI car (148 mph!!), Heffner car w/Jamie's driving (even if Jamie makes it hard to admit it, he's a great driver

, SW's Roe S/C car (can you say bang for the buck?), both Roof's car & his budding driving skills (10's on his 3rd time on the track??? gad), the LPE car (what a great overall package!) and of course Albert and his trick NOS system (9.99; 'nuff said).

As for my car, it seems a bit silly to be "disappointed" with a 10.4 and a 147-MPH pass, but I know the beast is capable of substantially more once the suspension & driveline tuning is done. However, no excuses -- we'll keep working on it, and I'll be the first to post when it finally turns in some times worthy of the sterling engine Doug's team put together.
