"Pretty impressive for a guy that can barely reach the pedals!"

Clint, that's what the adj pedals are for!! I was pretty happy with the runs last night. We have one small issue to deal with and that should put the car in the low 9.40's or maybe the high 9.30's. First run was 9.71, second 9.51 last run 9.48. My 60ft on the 9.48 run was 1.46.

Thanks again to Jason, Joe and Paul for getting the car ready for our runs last night.

Enough Already! Come on' guys..
We're talking hundredths of a second here. Everyone knows 1 or 2 seconds is a big deal at the drag strip, but who cares about the rest. Let us know when you get into the 8's and we will all be impressed. The MPH was only 148 on a car that should go over 200mph?

What REALLY worries me is that SW won't be able to fit his head into his helmet next time we race. I don't want to see anyone get hurt so we have to stop pumping him up over these "baby steps".

What they REALLY need now is a little constructive criticism to bring them back to earth. Like this...

1) That light sucked man! Red means stop. What's the point of going fast when you've already lost at the tree?
2) What's up with all that revving before the run? You trying to "clean it out"?
3) If you’re going to bobble around with 4th gear, just skip it and put the **** thing in 5th!
4) The track is ALWAYS shorter when you drive straight down the middle. This is NOT road racing man!

I know it must feel like a video game with all those buttons and switches in the car but I hope you get serious soon and quit messing around.

SW - I'm not sure how drag racing works with the lights? Does it matter if you red light or does your time start the same either way? If you take off during the middle of the lights sequence is your time the same if you did'nt redlight?
I think it matters only for heads up racing, right?

Please dont get upset - I dont understand how it works.

I need to read up on drag racing so when we meet I understand whats going on.

Congratulations on all your runs, LIL' man with LIL' numbers is BIGtime.

I think people take me wrong SW. No arrogance only concern.

The time starts when you trip the lights. It doesn't affect your time if you leave on a red light or 5 seconds after the green. All it affects is your reaction time. You could red light and have less than a .5 reaction time or you could go after it turns green and have greater than .5 reaction time.

My big question is what gears are you running? 4th gear in the traps could not be 3.07's, could it?

Scott, thanks for all your advice..I was just driving it like I used to drive in those tractor pulling days, they never go strait. I was reving it up because I thought it was driving my Supra. I red lighted because I thought I had was racing you and wanted to leave on you. Hope I answered your questions.

DIZZAM ....somebody pulled out a gallon bucket of PUNK and served it up.

Scott, your lack of diplomacy in this situation brought a tear to my eye....but that tear followed about 15 minutes of laughter, it is true that the pen is mightier than the sword.

Jason...actually Scott is a Texan and just happens to be living in NY at the moment. Don't call out the Daughters of the Confederacy just yet....he is a certified smack daddy from the South.

Good numbers....sorry we missed the tea party.

QUESTIONS: When will the law of diminishing returns kick in with this combination? How much gas is TOO much? What is more impressive here..the fact that a Viper can actually be that quick on an IRS? Or just the fact that it ran that quick period?

No bashing...just a query. Thumbs up to JC,JH, and PW at RSI for their work. Just to have a consistent 9 sec Viper is impressive....I guess all thats left for me is to do it on motor only, you guys took all the power adder thunder.

Thanks for your seal of approval Norma, now I can get some sleep.

Norma, as you can see, the car does not have or need a 400/500 shot, it's had the same shot since the first time I drove it.It's just getting faster with better tuning and driving.
Good luck with your project.

Sour grapes, is that what it is called?
What I want to know is what exactly does SW stand for, Secrete weapon, speed wacer, speed warp, serious whooping (woopin).
SW needs to be brought to Tech before the next run and not the car. Something mechanical their.
Gerald
Extremely impressed and could not have happened to a better person. I know that this is something that you wanted and like most of what you have done accomplishment was just the finished product. Where some might question tuner instead of admiration for a job well done will always be par. When you shake the wood pile all sorts of stuff will fall out. I am not sure that the others that think you just pulled into the slot yesterday know about your ruff water days. (nor do I but I have been told about some of your boats) Dry land is not the only place where motors perform, speed on the water was a good place to start wasn't it?
