engine calibrator

has anyone dyno tuned their car with an engine calibrator that make adjustment to the air/fuel and timing ?
If so, HP gains and whose did they use ?

Yes. Sean Roe sells a Vec (Viper engine calibrator). I believe the current iteration is called Vec 2.

Besides the MAP tweaking controllers, what type of engine management or PCM modifications are typically employed by the Viper tuners?

Do any of the vendors use or offer PCM remapping/reflashing services?

I picked up 45 horsepower on Jason Heffners dyno with the VEC1 and I think that was the highest gain anyone has gotten. Settings where -4 on the low side and +10 on the high side.

From the posts so far I gather the signal interupts or modifiers are the tool of choice.

What sort of interest do you think there would be actual PCM remapping and getting away from the piggy back boxes? For heavier mods like camshaft and ported heads on our V-8 Magmums we have found the only way to properly tune the new config is to dyno tune a new fuel and spark map. How do the better known Viper tuners go about addressing those sort of mods?
