Looks like a ship engine.... wow - holy cow that is a big piece!

Get this guys - a 50,000bhp ship engine might peak at 180rpm.

So - the torque will be 5252 x 50,000 / 180 = 1,458,889 lb/ft of torque! No wonder those supertankers can haul 500,000 tonnes at 16 knots!!

:eek: :eek: talk about your torquemonster :D

I cant imagine a crank shaft weighing more than a Bus at 300tons.
The whole engine is 2300tons. Whats that heavy, to put things in perspective. 2300tons sound like its more than a Jumbo Jet...
