That man definitley had his name out there, I already knew about him way before I joined this forum. Truely sad that this happened, his driving abilities were 1st rate.

My condolences go out to his family and fiancee and friends. :( :usa: :usa:

Terrible loss for his family, and for all of us.

Loss is too small a word.

God Bless Paul.

Our condolences go out to Pauls family, friends and to his girlfriend Bridget. Paul was a great person and talented one as well. We feel honored to have known him. He was a huge part of the Viper Days Family. He will be missed.

My condolences to PMUM's family and friends. When I first joined here I remember spending hours reading the smack wars that he and Adelberg laid down every day. You can tell he will be sadly missed by everyone here.

I'm so sorry for him and his family. I wish I had his driving skills and a Viper that was prepped to win in Atlanta so I could win and dedicate the win to him. I'm sure his Viper brothers will do just that.

Living in SoCal I had hoped to bump into him at some events- I guess he will only be there in spirit for all of us now. My condolences to his family, friends and competitors- those who have really lost the most from this unfortunate accident. A very limited group of people exhibit such passion in life, and it will duly missed by all those in the Viper community and beyond.

And on a side note- if your checking in on us Paul- you did a great job in keeping your plane away from residences on the ground- another heroic act of "driving" on your part :usa:

Re: Thanks for the small time we spent together-

The Viper community lost perhaps its very best spokesperson who spoke with his skills and his heart. I fondly remember when he was a regular poster on these boards and some of the absolutely hilarious stuff he wrote. Brilliant guy with a quick wit who would talk smack with the best of them yet always lent a kind word to those that needed them. I have been numb just thinking about this all day.

Our prayers go out to the Mumford family and friends. Godspeed Paul Mumford, you inspired us all.

There are no words to express my feelings. I came to this site at a time when Paul was having a lot of fun here. His joy of racing and the Viper experience and his fun with Ken Adelberg was something that inspired a lot of us to join the Viper community. It is obviously more tragic that those of us who have followed his racing career realize that he was very close to breaking out and realizing his dreams and the dreams of all of us that a privateer really could kick some serious ass in this race group with the Comp Coupe.

Re: Thanks for the small time we spent together-

I had talked with PMUM several times online, and it's truly sad news about his tragic passing.
Although I only knew him from online conversations and reading about his ongoing racing successes, the news of his untimely death has been bothering me all day.

But at least he did live his life to the fullest.

Paul

I met Paul at several Viper Days events in '99. The first time I ever really talked to him was at Road America when I asked what he had hidden in his car to be so fast. He smiled and gave me a short list of suggestions. I'll never forget how he emphasized: "...and quit being a [******] in the kink !". The man lived life to its fullest.

God bless his family.

I have felt devastated all day after hearing the terrible news this morning. My heartfelt condolences go out to Bridget, Paul's family, and all of his many friends. It is truly our loss to bear as we go forward with our lives, trying to find ways to remember Paul and celebrate his life. He was a remarkable person whose memory will continue to bring out the best in us all.

It is obvious by the quality and quantity of condolences that Paul was well liked and respected. I was fortunate enough to know him and he really will be missed. My prayers for him, his family and friends.

I have been gone from the Board a long time, but someone told me to check the board. I was greatly saddened to hear the news. PMUM will be missed....no one could dish it out like that man....

As an update to those of you interested in services or a memorial, those plans are in a holding pattern right now as the family is awaiting information from coroner. It certainly won't be this weekend.

Re: Thanks for the small time we spent together-

I don't think getting together a massive Viper progression ( with family blesses of course ) would be "out of place" or too difficult to arrange. I think he would like that...
