Hola all,
So my old NOS heater blanket has given up the ghost, and I'm eyeing the new spiffy Nitrous Express heating system with a bottle pressure solenoid. I was curious whether there is any issue using this system on a NOS 15# bottle? Also, if anyone knows a good NX dealer please pop me a PM - I need to order this plus some NX jets for racing fun this winter...

Thanks!

I used the solenoid for a while, but took it out because I honestly pay close attention to bottle pressure anyway...Plus my primary activation is 12V switched by the ignition...No chance of the heaters staying on while the car is off...

K.I.S.S....But if you must, there is absolutely no issue using it with an NOS bottle...Fittings are fittings...and relays are relays...

Ben,
My baby brother runs a NX Heater on a Nos 10# and I run a Nx heater on a NX 15# and love it.( I had the privilege to race against your car when Doug took to Moroso , it killed me ) 10.2 1/4

Glad to hear that this combo works. I tend toward a "plug and forget" solution where one is available, so I expect the pressure-sensitive heater switch will be just the ticket.

Devin - sorry about Moroso :) Those DLM cars do scoot!

You guys have any recommendation for a distributor?

Ben,
One thing you have to remember with the NX bottle heater is that it works with a pressure transducer. The bottle valve must be turned on before activating heater If not the Transducer can not read pressure.

Lee - thanks, I wasn't sure from the diagram where the pressure transducer plugged into the system. Having it downstream of the valve will make it easier to swap from bottle to bottle.

Hey Ben,

Give me a call, I am a WD with NX and proud to have their products in my shop. They make a great addition to our "nitrous solutions" systems, and I look forward to making even more reliable power with the NX product line. We will be updating our website over the next week or so with several custom tailored NX kits that are designed specifically for BTR Performance and the Viper.

We are also a long standing NOS brand dealer and will continue to service our NOS customers.

Thanks again!

Tom
