Your getting way off subject... Before you open your mouth and say I dont know what i'm talking about with turbo's.. just know.. I had a Turbo mustang backin in 92'... As a matter of fact I built it myself.. I've also had (2) MKIV toyota supra's... but lets not get on that subject..

Just so you kno.. They are different cars.. We are talking about Vipers here..

Ron are you such a Dyno Queen that you cant realize that a piece of paper doesnt tell you how fast your car is...

Basically you have no clue what your talking about when it comes to this subject and just want to argue.. Is there any other car you want to talk about and bring in this conversation?????

Basically this race was between two drivers and there setups.. Each were told to bring it and they did.. You mention that if JH was properly tuned that he could have just turned his boost up.. Well this isnt a "what if" world..

However a Blower with Nos combo Jason styles RSi tuned car has ran a 9.52 152 MPH my car ran a boost only 9.63 and has trapped 151 MPH.

Not to be picky - but I believe a [*****] TT has gone 152.2 boost only and 156.5 boost/NOS.

Beep.Beep,be-throttle, it wasn't a tree it was a horn and the operator had the advantage. Anyone working the horn (driver) would have had the jump exactly like Moundir say's it happened. Do you think that on the third beep JH would set back. Three beeps and hit the gas gives the driver of the car working the horn the jump and the win 2 sec. later.
If they would have installed a tree in the middle of the freeway them the jump would not be a factor other than reaction time.
But fan clubs are joined everyday and it is your day to join up with jh.

I dont post very often but here is my take on the whole story....Ive seen the Video and its more than obvious Scammessey got quite the unfair jump when the short 3rd beep so OF COURSE he is gonna jump out ahead...and from the Video by the time Moundir hits the gas he has to shut it down...and i honestly see a small amount of reeling in for the second or 2 he actually is accelerating.....

....now moving on I may be the 18 year old owner of a lowley 1994 Mustang GT (slips into flame suit again) but ive gathered some knowledge of cars in my short life and i will tell you straight up Dyno's are good for nothing but bragging rights...who cares if the turbo car's power is instant if it looses?....now also mentioned is "if JH's car is tuned properly its just as easy as turning up the boost" actually your wrong as hell...first off apparently JH cant tune cuz why wasnt it tuned correctly to begin with?...2nd...if its tuned properly, turning up the boost causes it to no longer be tuned properly because it was "tuned properly" for the old boost....there also is something to be said for the fact that apparently Moundir's car can be beat on and not break down...unlike JH's...anyways you seem to be the ultimate troll...coming here and flaming someone who did nothing but complain (and rightly so) about something he felt was unfair, and i agree....

Not to be picky - but I believe a Hennesseey TT has gone 152.2 boost only and 156.5 boost/NOS.

Correct! I have the Video and it is sweet!!!

But he does not have the ET his best et with NOS is 9.65

REgards.

His cars are sick and soon they will put the number down I am sure as well as other tuners cars

I'm not sure how this one got out.. better yet how it was started in FL.. Moundir did race race DJ Self's LPE Vette on the street.. but the only ones that have the video are Moundir and us...

X you are licked all motors 4, 6, 8 or 10 etc use the same principles, its air in and air out. Saying a Viper is different than Mustangs, supra, chev, g.n shows how little you know. The difference is the trans and suspenion not the motor, nothing an auto with transbrake and ford rear wouldn't fix and launching at 10 to 15 psi of boost.
DLM, HEFFNER,JH AND UNDERGROUND know nothing thats why they spent over $100,000 for there DYNO'S. They spent all that money for tuning and setting up the stand alone FUEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM for no reason but to print a piece of paper. They should send them back and call you and the Dr. to tell them how much power they made when a change is made ie, cam, heads, timing a/f etc.
Doug Levin stated on viperalley that soon Heffner will surprise people when he sets a tt viper up for racing. Turbo cars cannot run thats why all the viper tuners are working on them? Turbo are the present and future for high streetable hp and viper will be there just like the STANGS, GN, SUPRAS CHEV ETC.

i understand what your saying about the viper being the same as another car, air in and air out from what i know (which is not too much) that part is true but to say those great tunders don't know anything is WAYYYYYY out there, if there is 1 thing i DO know its if you let anyone of those guys wrench on your viper when you go to drive it the first time bring a new pair of pants because you are more then likely going to shyt yourself.

Stugots you must comprend what i am saying these tuners bought their DYNOS because they know what a dyno can do. However X says its a waste of money since it only gives a piece of paper which is useless. X really is out in left field. I respect all those tuners for their knowledge and help to the viper community, its the dumbies who hide their head in the sand while others are getting ready to pass them bye. I hope you understand sarcasm when you read it, these tuners bought DYNOS to increase horepower output of their respective motors.

a dyno can tune the car or it can just read and see what you have currently it can do both i do know that

Tuners list excludes names like Caldwell? Fat Albert, CD Performance, Ted May, etc. Perhaps the winning FIA/Le Mans/ALMS motors proven on the track in real races are excluded because??????

A honk 2-3 second something. Sorry I do not call that a race under any imaginable framing.

But it is a great way to stir the *** and generate interest in a re-match for a real race! :2tu:

Fred the tuners mentioned are basically at all the drag racing events the comments made was not intended to over look any tuners.

I think a rematch is definitely in order. I watched the video, and it basically shows nothing. JH gets the jump, pulls a car length, and they shut down. Moundir, I just can't see how you say you pulled him! At least it didn't look like it to me. From what I could see, you were on the gas for about a second and then you had to hit the brakes. I don't get why John wouldn't race you again, but hey, I wasn't there. Either way, that wasn't a freakin race in my book. I don't think anyone really won.

RACING SOLUTIONS INC. IS A "AT THE TRACK TUNER" That was not mentioned.
RSI first hit the scene breaking the record with a 9.458 and another RSI car beat the 9.458 with the 9.456

RSI Unlimited holds a record for running 9.456 6-speed qtr mile
RSI broke the long held all motor at 10.08 that was just broke this weekend by Norm (not RSI)
RSI S/c viper w/nitrous ran a 9.56 in Florida

RSI S/C automatic ran a 9.1 at the track with only one better time by another tuner for the auto trans.

Rohn as you know i have congratulated you and RSI ALSO BTR, ROE etc. in the past, the tuners mentioned were only used as examples. So to be perfectly clear i do not perfer or recommend one tuner over another that's your choice as a consumer. It's great to have so many excellent tuners to pick from.

That is the safe way to go, not to recommend any tuner. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Congratulate them all day long when they do good but to each there own. I guess any tuner can build a great complete and fast Viper. From time to time there is bound to be a problem and then the true test is will the tuner stand behind the work and the customer. The tuners that support their customers are the ones to support but like you say, it is the customers call. I will suggest but will also tell the person to do there homework, bottom line it is their Viper and there call.

It seems that your reading comprehension is only matched by your writing skills..

Dyno's suit there own purpose. They are a tuning tool, they give a baseline for one to judge the HP of the car, as it is modified. They are a way for tuners and car owners to compare the possible performance. But in the real world, it just a piece of paper and one must drive the car to see the performance..

For you to say that all cars are alike air in, air out.. is funny.. In trying to get the air in the motor, the manner in which the air enters the motor makes a difference.. the intake runner, the pathway to the intake.. etc. The same is true about the exhaust, from the size of the exhaust ports all the way to the exhaust tips..

What I stated, was.. When it comes to racing DYNO sheets dont win a race...

X dyno sheets show how much power the car is capable of making the tuner dials in as close as possible but at the track you have to fine tune depending on conditions. If the motor makes 1000rwhp, with weight factored in you can figure the mph and et. It does not mean the driver or car will run those numbers but the driver and tuner have a handle what they are shooting for. I have been using DFI, FEL PRO AND FAST for many years and DYNOS help tuning immensely. Your base fuel map is set, a/f , timing and fuel pressure after each run you look at the data loger and make changes if needed but 90% of the work was done on the dyno.
