Agreed the Viper is a very unique car to deal with especially the raw Gen I's. That is part of what makes them so special to own and drive. As far as bashing I dont think anyone here went to a Vette site and started to flame, they are respndoing to some very bizzare statements. A Viper lacking torque, say no more.

In fact most of us owned Vettes at one time or another, great cars. Not a viper and will never be. Wayne welcome and enjoy the experience. ;)

I think he may have been referring to your utter lack of grammer, sentence structure, capitalization, ect ect. The post was a bit tough to read.

Congrats Wayne! :2tu:

Mike, go ahead and buy a Viper. You will then notice that you will never drive your Vette again! That's what happened to me, and many others here who have had them both at the same time.

Of course we are going to defend our cars on this forum when some pea brain comes and says he likes Vettes and starts talking a little trash about the Viper. This is a VIPER FORUM! We take offense to that. We will bash Vettes here and other cars as well as I am sure Vette owners do the same about Vipers on their forum. I don't understand why you have all of these complaints about a Viper but yet are going to go buy one! I suggest you go back to the Vette forum with the other geezers, tell them that we were picking on you and leave it at that. Other than that, take some english and spelling lessons before you post again so we can understand what the hell you are trying to say.

You're saying that you feel a difference from your supercharged vette as compared to a stock Viper?
not comparing power at all thats not the case, it was the driving experience that killed me

in these terms , the pillar was to close to my face , felt crowded, like i couldn't move inside , cheap ac , sorry radio

Hmm....well, if you want a luxury car, get a Lexus or BMW. If you want a race car...get a Viper. I've got an '86 911 Turbo for the time being...and soon as I can get some cash problems straightened up....I'm getting a used Viper. I drove one once a month ago...and am hooked. My current car is far from a luxury car...I feel every bump in the road, and my A/C isn't the coolest one I've ever been in. I also live in New Orleans, where the WHOLE town is one big freakin' speedbump....and the temperatures with humidity is pretty much jungle hot.

But, I prefer to sacrifice some creature comforts for the power and fun of true performance cars. The one I have has served me well....and if things work out, I'll try to keep it for a collectors item. But, a Snake is what I want now. Even in this climate (hot, humid and heavy rains often)....and I know I'll need to put the protective plate on the nose of the thing to get in my driveway and the parking decks around town here...

Hell..in a flood...I'll need to find that 'hidden' Speed Racer button to turn it into a submarine...hahaha.

Not called for.

You guys need to lighten up. Why bash the guy, he is buying a viper. Let him repost after a month & see what he says. I am not an expert but an ACR might have the shocks set to a very stiff setting making the ride pretty rough.

I think YouWish has a point. I've known foreign students in college, where it was there first year in America from Asia, and they had much, much better grammar than this guy.

You can't honestly believe he is actually going to buy a viper, can you? It sounds more like a teenager who just got off the Playstation playing GT2 or something.

Sure I always buy things that are, eh... "very dissapointing" ;)

It helps a lot with lowered expectations, or do you think it in some strange way allows one to think it adds credability to the bashing, eh sorry, I mean dissapointing statments since you are going to buy one any way ?

Just IMHO
