I am beyond tired of driving a Mike Tyson car (LOTS OF POWER... wimpy voice).
I am referring to the exhaust as well as the equally annoying, wimpy “where’s
the beef (or bass for that matter)” so called great Alpine stereo system.
Looking for some GTS info on:

1) Exhaust system replacements; Borla vs Corsa vs Mopar vs…. and how much of
it should I have replaced.
2) Recommended replacement audio systems.
3) Any leads on who in the Jacksonville FL area that can be trusted to do the
installs right the first time.

Thanks,
DR

BORLA 3" catback at a minimum....add 1.75" headers and hi-flow cats even better. Personally, I don't use the audio system so can't help you there. :D

Darkryder -- At least you are starting out with the best color and year! Use the search function on this site and you will find hours of reading on the topics you asked about (well, maybe not the Jacksonville intalls . . .). It will be worthwhile to read it all. Good luck.

All up to personal taste and what your looking for, loudness, growl, resonance etc. Just do a search here and you'll find tons of threads on this topic.

And I'm with Devildog, Borla/Mopar are basically the same and IMO sound the meanest, some others recently have very good things to say about the Random Tech exhaust saying it sounds similar to Borla. Corsa I don't care for, makes the Viper sound ricey IMO though others on here would disagree.

B&B + Random tech High Flow Cats. Trust me on this one, it is as mean as it gets. never had an unhappy customer with this setup, and I always get people asking "WHAT EXHAUST IS THAT?!?!?! I WANT ONE!" Borla sounds flat compared to B&B, and Corsa is too raspy for most people. Borla and B&B drone, borla is worse in almost every case. Corsa does not drone. (on the other hand, the drone on B&B is only around 2K RPM, and actually sounds good! is almost non-existant with windows down)

My standard "what exhaust" reply:

Get to a Viper Days, Club event, or "gathering of Vipers @ ******* and take a listen for yourself. Exhaust sound is too subjective and many are very passionate to the brand that they have on THEIR car.
Listen for yourself and make the decision on wht YOU like.
Hi-flow cats will help on heat and sill discoloration if you want to go that route.
Good luck!

Corsa to sound exotic euro_Others for a more American sound. Will never burble or sound American(v8)since it has 10 cylinders.6's and 12's sing,v8's burble,4's buzz,10's have a different sound. Can't describe it adequately.Kind of mean and nasty.Headers deliver more of an individual cylinder firing sound.Cross over tube smooths the uneven firing pulses.NO cats or high flow's make it much louder.
