By far the most dramatic of the four vehicles was the beautiful, purposeful ME Four-Twelve. This supercar was made all the more impressive by the revelation from Trevor Creed, senior vice president of the Chrysler Group design, that the ME Four-Twelve was complete in less than one year.

The ME Four-Twelve name is derived from the mid-engine placement of a quad-turbo 6.0-liter V12 engine. Bernard explained the name is appropriate because the car was literally designed around the engine.

The AMG-developed all-aluminum 6.0-liter V12 engine produces 850 horsepower and 850 lb-ft of torque, and the car has a curb weight of only 2,880 pounds. Power get transferred to the wheels via a 7-speed Ricardo Double Clutch Transmission developed specifically for the vehicle; it uses the latest double wet-clutch technology and electronic controls. The transmission delivers uninterrupted torque to the rear wheels, shifting between gears in 200 milliseconds.

The ME Four-Twelve is intended to set new performance standards for a mid-engine rear-wheel-drive sports car. Although the performance has not been measured in driving tests, with the aid of computer modeling Chrysler expects the ME Four-Twelve to set new performance standards for a rear-wheel-drive mid-engine sports car: a top speed of 248 mph, or 400 kilometers per hour.

The ME Four-Twelve is expected to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and from zero to 100 mph in 6.2 seconds.

and is completely usless because it is in no way a feasable production model.

The only things to come from Chrysler people are going to shell out 1/4 million bucks for are Hemi E-body's

"Wolfgang Bernhard, chief operating officer of the Chrysler Group, drove the ME Four-Twelve onstage and emphasized that the super sports car is not really concept car, but a working prototype."

"According to Deutsche Press, around 300 Chrysler ME 4-12 will be built each year, largely with carbon, aluminum, and other light-weight metals. Road testing is scheduled for late January, with production rumored to start within two years. The car itself is being built in the United States by Metalcrafters, and we have been told that the lead engineer is from Chrysler and the lead suppliers from North America - and that this was the outcome of battles with Stuttgart, which wanted to use European suppliers and engineers. Most off the shelf parts appear to be from Chrysler aside from the engine. The transmission seems to be based on Chrysler, Mercedes, and other designs."

Alice

Thank you for confirming that you are completely clueless as to what is going on. Your info is so far behind that it is laughable.

LOL

Furthermore, this car would whoop up on the Mercedes SLR. You are HIGH if you thing Mercedes is going to let a cheaper chrysler beat up on it's supercar. Hell they won't even do the Viper some justice let alone some chrysler.

Craig,

I normally don't get involved too much in these bashing sessions of yours but what is your problem with keeping a professional tone ???

Are you so insecure that you need to come across this way all the time ??

You really have no idea...FYI: I am complete and total pr1ck as well.......

But nevertheless, you'd have to be blind, or ***, or both, not to notice that Alice has intentionally posted a link to her pics, where it is clearly obvious that she is in possession of a great rack. :2tu:

Cwaig,

Your knowledge of everthing is unbelievable and the way that you reply to classy
people like Alice is unfortunate. I can't believe that after your asinine replies that she was classy enough to reply to your crap. You should be thankful that there are people like her to put your misguided views in check.

Alice...are you ok ? Don't let some of these guys get under your skin. I noticed you have not replied to this thread since it became a bashing game. I don't blame you. Some of these guys have no respect and I personally think you have added a lot of class and insight to this forum. Your writing is informative, questioning and humourous. Please stay with us in your normal manor. I think we all love the new addition to the group.

Bob

Stop wasting time and money on a car that will never come to fruition. $80,000+ Dodge's are having a mighty hard time selling. What makes them think a $500,000+ Chrysler will sell? And SRT wonders why they don't have enough funds?
