It has fog lights too?

Now, how cool is that.

No windshield wipers, though, correct?

Favorite CD is Prodigy, as it seemed to always be in the system at many Viper Days events. My son and I both got used to cranking it up before a race as a preamble to Dad's physce getting wired. Always worked and , since my son was my crew, the album is a strong stimulus for remembering good times and Viper Days Action.

Next CD is a crazy mix from Sun Ray Kat. He gave it to me when he purchased his GTS, and it's eclectic futurism really works into you. Pretty talented guy!

I specifically bought Rush's 2112 for my factory delivery of my GTS in 1999. First Viper ever bought and I played it as I drove out of the factory and headed towards home. Very cool.

Today in the changer:

A Perfect Circle - Thirteenth Step
Audioslave (self titled)
Modest Mouse - Good News for People Who Love Bad News
Tool - Lateralus
Pink Floyd - Animals
Korn - Issues

Like NOMERCY, I can run pretty much the full spectrum including classical and rap, but forgoing country except for a little Johnny Cash.

Robin Trower - Bridge of Sighs

Most rock songs have a shelf life of about 15-20 years before they need to be retired forever. A rarely heard classic like this can last much longer. I think I'll be downloading this and putting it on a future compilation.

It would be nice if someone would compile a CD entitled "Favorite Viper Driving Hits", with all of the above. I would buy it.

PS: My favorite is "Kissing Willie" by Jethro Tull (Rock Island)

"Home on the Freeway" - Jethro Tull

A man is recovering from surgery when a nurse asks him how he is
feeling. "I'm O. K. but I didn't like the four-letter-word the doctor used
in surgery," he answered.
"What did he say," asked the nurse.
"OOPS!"

The fact that you know the word "album" is itself impressive.

Rolling Stones - "Moonlight Mile"

I fear Father Time had his surgical gloved hand in this.

To continue with some good old Road Songs from the English. The Brits are,in large part, responsible for the resurgence of blues in this country.......Starting in the 60's.

Long John Baldry........It Ain't Easy and/or Long John's Blues
Savoy Brown.............Street Corner Talking
Joe Cocker..............Mad Dogs&Englishmen

"Layla and Other Lovesongs" - Derek and the Dominos

Recorded in Miami 1970. I think this 2 'album' set is timeless and ranks up there with some of his best. Duane Allman also sat in on this session. I bought it shortly after it's release.

The original Fleetwood Mac with Peter Greene.
Saw these guys around 1971. Not sure if Green was still in there then. He may have been. Bob Seeger was the back up band.

Jeff Beck........Rough and Ready
Mountain.........Nantucket Sleigh Ride

"Derek" of Derek and the Dominos is derived from:
D - Duane
E - Eric
= Derek

Peter Green decompensated in ~1971-72 (schizophrenic episode potentiated by hallucinogen use). Although he has returned to playing, he is a tragic sole and bears no resemblance to the lanky guitar virtuoso he once was. He penned "Black Magic Woman" which popularized Santana.

Both of these groups make for excellent road tunes.

I agree with an earlier post that we should conceptualize a CD of 700MB of the best of the best. While we cannot make copies and distribute, we can agree upon the contents and the order.

We would have to agree upon the first song and then add each through the best consensus we could achieve.

Perhaps, we can all agree upon Layla.

I used a scientific method for the answer : Ask the VIPER.
SO, with different CDS at hand I started this experiment.
First, heavy metal, some how the viper started playing it before it was in, shouting I LOVE I LOVE....
Second, rock, Viper waited for the cd to go in and happily played it shouting I LIKE I LIKE....
Third, POP, Viper played it and politely said : OK ENOUGH OF THAT.
Fourth, JAZZ, again, VIPER played it and slowly swayed the rear end left and right saying , GOOD TUNES MAN, LIKE, FOR THE EVENING..
Fifth, BLUES, had to stop it, brought VIPER to tears, engine almost died, memories of GEN I AND GEN II, TOO MUCH.....
Sixth, country, upon seeing the CD, THE VIPER said, THIS BETTER BE HANK.....
The research ended violently when I attempted to play RAP, not only did the VIPER curse me out , it refused to play and some how threw me out.... :usa:

What about substituting "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin? It has a more raucous/Viperish intro.

Here's one I made a few years ago. There's just too darn much stuff out there to please everyone. Pretty obvious where I lean. I was at the concert in '91 when SRV left us. There will never be another like him.

We had the whole gamut in our house growing up...Brubeck jazz/Big Band jazz/Classical/Blues/Folk and, of course, 60's R&R.

We now even have a little Metallica and the new style country in the case. Didn't/Don't much care for the old Merle Haggard..Conway Twitty stuff.

Led Zeppelin could also be Good Times/Bad Times
Layla is always a keeper

B Movie Boxcar Blues......Delbert McClinton
One Foot on the Path.......KWS
You Need to be With Me.....Susan Tedeschi
Tin Pan Alley/Change It....SRV
Still in Love With you...Thin Lizzy
There's Gotta Be a change..Johnny Lang
Dancin' in the Moonlight....Thin Lizzy
Darling be Home Soon......Joe Cocker
Hurry Sundown.............Outlaws
It Hurts so Bad...........Susan Tedeschi
Goin' Wild for You.........Bonnie Raitt
Rollin And Tumblin'.......Eric Clapton
The Weight................Shannon Curfman
Friars Point..............Susan Tedeschi
???'Cuttin in' CD.........Sean Costello
Sandy Beaches.............Delbert McClinton

This has got to be one great SRT Road Tune: Jon Spencer Blue - "Talk About The Blues"

Just heard it on XM (Bluesville).

This is one hard hitting, funk-blues, anti-rock anthem.

If you can find it, give it a listen.

It may even please the rap advocates.
