Can\'t stop smiling

:) I got my first Viper a week ago and only got to drive it 1 day before I spent a week away on vacation. I couldn't stop thinking about the car the whole time I was gone. I got back yesterday and got to drive it today after I installed a new battery. I had to call the previous owner after a brief game of "find the battery" to learn the location. He told me to remove the rear driver's wheel and remove the panel that does a really good job of hiding dead batteries. The car had to be pushed onto a stack of progressivly taller lumber so the jack would fit under the car. To make a short story long, everything went fine and I had the time of my life driving afterwards. I couldn't quit smiling, and I was in such a great mood. Is this a common side effect of driving a Viper? The original owner of the car was Janni Cone, so you may be familiar with the paint scheme(if not, it's very "P8TRIOTic") :usa: . As I drove the car today I noticed a few military retirees that smiled when they saw it, or nodded positively as it went by. It amazes me the effect that a car can have on people. Dodge made a truly incredible car! :2tu:

Mike, this is only the beginning. You will ultimately see that your smile is going to get bigger and bigger every time you drive your snake. If you are a shy person then get ready for a lot of attention. These cars are attention magnets......I guess that's the price you pay for viper ownership. Congratulations on your new snake!

Janni and Henry really took (or take) great care of their cars. I'm sure you got a great Viper! Enjoy...

Very common side effect. Do not be alarmed. What you are experiencing, is a case of "VIPER ravishment". Only VIPER's are capable of delivering "VIPER ravishment", and there is no known cure after you have been bitten.

Common symptoms include "I couldn't stop thinking about the car the whole time I was gone", and "I couldn't quit smiling".

Please be warned and prepared, many have found "viper ravishment" to last for many years after being diagnosed.

Take a deep breath when feeling "viper ravishment", ALWAYS REMEMBER how FORTUNATE you truly are, and ENJOY! :D :2tu:

CONGRATS!

Congratulations!! You will never regret having bought that car..

Just be careful and only hit full throttle when the wheels are pointing forward!

Have fun!

The previous owner had "P8TRIOT" on the plate, and I think I'm going to stick with it. It really fits the car. I live on an air force base and get a LOT of positive comments, and have been saluted twice.

I remember seeing that Viper for sale. It's ready for the 4th of July. Take some pics for us.

I've been looking at plates for mine. I work in DC. Lots of military and retired military here. I was thinking about getting "Vets sux". I was meaning corvetts of course. Thank goodness someone tolda me to think twice. Probably wouldn't have gone over to well at Quantico.

Mike "96GTS",

If you want to see a picture of your car with the previous owner, look on the GAVCA website and click on gallery, Fall maountain drive. There is a picture of your car I believe on our site. My car is the yellow RT10 Roe SC! Cool car you have there and I know you will love it! You are experiencing a never ending smile now. Get a Roe SC and it turns into "can't stop laughing"! Welcome!
