Now that I have 600 miles on my 05 SRT-10 I need to double the power on the car :D

What options do I have in Twin Turbo and Supercharger systems for my 05 SRT-10?
I am shooting for 900 rwhp on pump gas.

The only supercharger option I know is the Paxton setup. It looks good for the money but belt slippage and other belt problems can be a pain in the a*s. I've heard people talking about a DLM supercharger kit for SRT-10 but I haven't seen any specs, pictures or dyno graphs. Is it a 10 rib setup? How is it different from the stock Paxton supercharger system?

I don't know much about the Twin Turbo options.

Specs, pictures, dyno sheets will help a lot.

Well, it's a long haul from California to a Twin Turbo setup. But it will be worth the Trip! :2tu:

A couple options are avail. I had Heffner do my TT, and I couldn't be happier! :2tu:

Check out Gary's Heffner TT! :headbang:

I would go with Heffner Twin Turbo setup in a heart beat if they weren't so expensive
How much does it cost to do a 1000 RWHP Heffner SRT-10? $50,000 probably. That's too much.
It should be possible to do a similar kit to Heffner's for half of that money...

What are other Twin Turbo kits for the SRT-10's?

T/T's yield some awesome results but regardless of the tuner, 50K = big time Viper tax to get in. Less than 12K will net you ~750rwhp and your car shouldn’t need to be ******* for 8+ weeks to get there. Maybe that's not quite the 900 you were thinking but surely it's worth a look given its cost and value prop. Do the research and continue to ask around, it's your dough maybe those bragging rights are worth the extra scratch to you. Good luck.

Don't know about belt slippage on Paxton. It has an automatic belt tensioner and should not be an issue.

Paxton, in mild trim, should only produce about 700 hp at the rear tires with Corsa Track exhaust. Any more power than this (and even at this level) just goes up in tire smoke. Do you want the 1,000 hp system to drive, or for bragging rights?

Being in California, this is about the only smog acceptable system. For about $10,000 it is hard to beat.

Dan Cragin at LA's DC performance has installed many of these. Very successful package. Includes engine timing controller and 2 extra fuel pumps.

You want 900rwhp for $25k? You better look for a used TT Viper and then throw some more $$ at it.

SC might be best for that coin.

Art;

Email Ben Treynor (search user list) He lives in Redwood City and just had his car done by Dan at D/C eng. Maybe he will take you for a ride and you can see what 700HP feels like. Ben is a good guy and will discuss the mods he had done. Seach this form for his previous posts about his car. I think you'll be happy with 700HP+ and save some money.

For that kind of power you need a 522 Stroker Twin Turbo and that will cost you. You won't find one for 25k, unless you are willing to be a guinea pig and go with someone who has no track record. Like it or not ... there is a cost of admission. :2tu:

I don't want the 900 RWHP for bragging rights. Too much money for a dyno sheet. :D I drive the Viper the way it deserves to be driven. I know I'll always want more and more HP so the best thing to do is do it once and do it right. I'll take her to drag racing once every 2 weeks probably and do some roadracing when I have some time.

Paxton looks a like a real good system for the money but I'm not sure if it has the potential to get me where I want. I will have to forge the short block anyway so a 522 stroker is a possibility. Just have the cranshaft machined while you are replacing the internals of the engine. I've heard DLM has an improved version of the Paxton system. I have no information about the DLM setup but maybe that might get me where I want.

The Heffner Twin Turbo is the ultimate package. It's too expensive though. Red Line Motor Sports is worth looking into if they can give the same kind of power for $20k less. Does anybody here have a RMS Twin Turbo kit on their SRT-10? Any feedback on RMS?

Only one RMS TT car I know of. It was totaled. They guy who owned it was from California. I don't think they've done another TT.

I'm partial to the sc cars but the turbo cars are making more peak power. DLM has a very nice setup they are working on for the srt's and im hoping to check it out soon

I talked to Kevin at Underground and he is very willing to help and work with me. He wanted me to e-mail him the specific parts I want in my car before he could give me a quote so I need to that some time. However, from what we have talked on the phone, it seems like he will be nowhere close to the range I had in my mind. He'll definitely be lower than Heffner, not by a big amount though.

I talked to Doug at DLM too and he thinks I can hit 900-1000 RWHP on pump gas by a custom supercharger setup. He is going to get a package together and call me back in couple days.

It is amazing how the cost doubles and triples once you go past 750 RWHP on the SRT-10's. You can go up to 750 RWHP using the Paxton kit on the stock bottom end and add Stage III heads, headers, exhaust, bolt-ons. I used to have a Procharger supercharged Z06 and I hate the nightmares with belts, brackets, pulleys. I don't know if Paxton setup has similar issues on the SRT-10 though.

I am waiting on one more response which I'm very excited about. If things work out, there might be an introduction of a new killer twin turbo kit to Viper world. :headbang: :headbang: :2tu:

Even if you want a SUpercharger Underground racing went 9.7's with a stock Supercharger system. these guys know there stuff and it is solid.

overall I would spend the extra and go Twin Turbo but if you insist on the blower set-up talk to him about that.
