Great price! I agree 29k would be very hard to pass up. If you have half of the fun that I am having in mine you should be extremely pleased.

The GEN Is are the best! From the pics it looks as though you might want to change the brake fluid. :2tu:

Yeah, I noticed the dark brake fluid too. First thing I'm going to do is replace all the fluids, although my biggest concern will be if it still has the paper head gaskets. I'm hoping that based on the car's age and mileage, perhaps they have been changed out with the metal. That aftermarket top doesn't do much for me either, but then again, I shouldn't be driving around with it on anyway lol.

Congrats. For the price I think you did well. Not sure if that is the stock wheel for that car though. Good luck. Now put some more miles on it..... :2tu:

Definitly not the stock wheel for a 94'. But they still look great and really good price on the car! Welcome to the family and enjoy!

Seems pretty cheap, did you Carfax it?

By the way, you have a 93 AND a 95 Cobra R? Nice.

Yeah, I think I got a very decent deal on the car. The wheels are actually from an 02 Viper. Oh, and I plan on putting MANY more miles on it! :)

I've not seen that top and windows combination? Who manufactured them?
The top was already with the car when the previous owner bought it, so I wasn't told. Perhaps there is an indication that I can make out once I get possession of the car. The side windows were custom made by the previous owner. He used the original frames, cut and tapped the plexiglass to it. Not bad, although I'm not overly fond of the top...perhaps it will grow on me.

Thanks! Well, for some reason Ebay lists every Viper as an automatic and it can't be changed, but it is a 6-speed manual trans.

I did run a carfax on it and it is clean. Yes, I do have both a 93 R and 95 R as well. I needed a weekend car to drive without putting miles on the R's, thus one of the several reason I went with a Viper. I've got a few pictures of the 93 R when it aired on HorsepowerTV in this thread - http://vca2.viperclub.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=genvipdis&Number=556656&fpart=&PHPSESSID=

This was in Philly, right?

My buddy went to see it, but ended up 2 days later with a 12.000 mile -93. He loved those wheels though. Car also was very clean and seemed to be in great condition.

Is the car still in this area or somewhere else?
If it is still in PA, we have a good group here and we are driving all weekends.... Wanna go?

From one Carleton to another.

Congradulations!
Thanks Carleton!

Excellent price! Welcome to the VCA.

Doc.
I still can't get over the price I paid for it. I was lucky. Well, my membership application just went out in the mail today, so I should be official very soon!

Yes, it was inLevittown, Pennsylvania just North of Philly. Guess it was your buddy that Mike (the owner) told me about. Said a guy came by and looked the car over a day or two before the auction ended, but had an obligation to look at another Viper out around Arizona, so he passed on this one. As far as the condition, I would rate the exterior paint as decent due to a few scratches and the side exhaust panels are starting to blister the paint, as well as a couple of small holes that are starting to develop. The interior had been very well taken care of with only a couple of minor imperfections. The wheels and tires were in excellent condition. For a weekend driver, this car is perfect for me. If I decide to keep this '94 over a Gen II (solely for the windows), then I'll have the side exhaust panels repaired or replaced as well as a few other paint touch-ups and the car would then be nearly perfect.

I appreciate the invite, but I'm actually in Tennessee. I met up with several Viper guys (and their wives) here in Nashville last Sunday. What a great group of people. We had a blast cruising downtown in a group ride.
