I really do not see the point of having to spend several grand more for an SRT-10 with a poorly-fitted hardtop, GEN II taillights, and a half-assed, pieced-together, amorphous rear end when for several grand less you can get the real convertible. Not only does the convertible have the option of dropping the top on a nice day, but its rear end doesn't look as if it was designed by a Down-syndrome retard armed with Crayolas and Playdough.

funny how the GTS guys hate the new coupe, obviously jealous of its superiority in EVERY performance aspect, and the interior, while not the greatest, is worlds above the "antiquated" GTS's.........anyway, Im getting the new coupe, may even keep my srt-10 and my 03 z06...I like the coupe, it looks way better than the old one to me, and nothing a TT cant do for speed increases

Hanging onto the antiquated gen 2 coupe here at least until the asian design theme is replaced by a north american or european design and it out performs a corvette at price parity. GTS Bruce

WOW, i've been thinking how to say that for a year. i went to the new york
autoshow and saw the red w/white stripes and let me tell that car looks
PISSED :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: i have never been a gts fan, when i
purchased my first viper it was a rt/10, which to me is the true original
viper. i plan to purchase a new coupe, just dont know when. i believe dodge
has a marketing plan set selling the first year blue/whites with current specs
then in 07 new colors with more HP, this way they will sell more and it adds
life to the viper.

The new coupe doesnt look horrible, but it does need some slight work. One of the main things that bothers me about it is the gas cap cover. If it wasnt exposed aluminum and was painted to match the body color, it would look tons better.

The coupe is looking good. Needs more HP.

Austin, you're wrong about the cap. Maybe you'd prefer a stupid little body colored door on it to hide that nasty race-look aluminum filler assembly?

Buy a Vette.

Chuck, I just think the cap doesnt fit the overall look of the coupe. The aluminum cap on the GTS fit it prefectly, but IMO it just looks weird on the new coupe; like it doesnt belong.

BTW, my opinion at this point is souly based on what I've seen in pics. I have yet to see the new coupe in person. Who knows, I may really like that aluminum cap. :p

All I wanted was a minimum +50hp, and I would be buying a new coupe. No question about it. I would be at the top of the list (read: I would pay more $$$ than MSRP) for +100hp. I love the convertible SRT, but there are times when I long for my GTS back. Since I don't like used cars, and the next 'step up' is either the Ford GT or F430 (I don't like waiting or $200K) there is no choice but to boycott the new coupe.
Wow, I think any car maker putting out a niche sports car in the $90-125K range would sell all they could build (SL55)

I love the Coupe!

Dodge gave people what they wanted in the looks department for sure. The GEN II GTS looks are all over the new Coupe! The rear-end is almost a copy, but updated.

What is not to love, besides the lack of a horsepower increase? C'mon folks, the new Viper coupe looks awesome!

Now, would someone please post some pic's of the BLUE Coupe for me? I love the Blue/Stripes. Might even order one if i can see the pics again.

Thanks!

LOVE that four-wheel-drive version. The car in the bottom pic is way too low! It might scrape stuff, like bunnies and kitties! ;)

I would buy one if they can produce a version that can beat the Z06. That doesn't seem in the cards though.

I like it a lot...I'd be confused if I was going to purchase my Viper next year and had both options available!

-looks way better than the old gts, with those little rims they had, and perfomance? even if it doesnt improve, it stomps the "antiquated" ( such the perfect word to describe the old gts) in every category, so why buy the old one?
