I am looking at an RSI 700 2003 SRT 10. Just wondering if anybody has any
experience with them or feedback. The Alley has all good things to say but
I had heard of one or two not so good experiences.

Also what do you guys think its worth? 2003 with 4500 miles, RSI 700 heads
and cam kit, HRE 20" 547s, stage 3 clutch, light weight fly wheel and a few
other items. 700hp and 690 tq.

Thanks

I don't know the specific car you are considering to buy but RSI is a great tuner and they will stand behind their products. They build real life reliable and fast cars. Gerald and Jason are great people. Call them and talk to them.

I will say this, to do it again I wouldn't use RSI for a third time. Shame on me for going there a second time. Even shame on me saying anything in the first place.

Sorry, take care, good luck

over and out :)

This is just pure ******* on RSI unless you can justify your statement.
First of all, you went to RSI to start with. So there must be something that attracted you to go to RSI in the first place. And for some mysterious reason, you went to RSI for a second time after having an "unhappy experience". And now you are bashing RSI without any evidence or backup.

RSI makes awesome and reliable cars and they will stand behind their products. Gerald and Jason are honest viper guys and they will go the extra mile to make sure their customers are satisfied and happy.

Better keep quiet if you don't have anything to support your sh*t.

You can't just bash a company without anything to back it up...we would like to know what happened as well so we can avoid them in the future! Just like most people on this board wouldn't go to [******] to get anything done!

Just wondering if you have had a car done by them? If so how was it?
All I know is what I have been told, and like I said all of the stuff
on the "Alley" is positive. But I have recieved a few notes from people
who have issues, one even told me that after spending a whole lot of money
that the flywheel that should have been there wasn't. Another said that
after he got the car that some wires and fuel/brake lines were right aganist
the headers and burned through.

The reason I bring this up is becaues they lowered the car by cutting the
springs. Now this might be common with tuners and the SRT 10 but some guys
on this forum have said otherwise.

Well off to more research. Thanks for the replys.

Spring cutting is wrong not only because the lack of piston travel, but the first few inches on most springs has a different rate. This just can't be done to springs, especially on a car that has limited piston travel.

You would think they know this.

Spring cutting not a good idea. Make sure you know what you're doing. RSI did my mods, no complaints, very happy.

Besides the RSI issue, the value of this car that Herc is looking at, considering it's two and a half years old. I would think it not even close to what it cost for this upgrade. I'm inclined to think it's of very little value. I would value the wheels if they are in perfect condition. I would also wonder how the car was drove for those years. Performance mods are of little value to me on a car that's been drove for a couple years, even though the miles are somewhat low. Lets hear what others have to say on this.

Gary doesnt need me to defend him, but as someone who he shared his story with, I can tell you he is being kind in his response.
I also cant speak for Gary, but a question was asked and he responded with his .02 without starting a ******* match. Thats the kind of guy he is.
If Herc really is interested in hearing what Gary has to say, I am sure a PM to Gary would get all his questions answered. :2tu:

Thanks for all of the feedback, I'm sure, and have heard,
that every tuner has someone with issues with their work.
I was just wondering what the percent was.
Yes Ricky, it is the one you are think of, nice wheels
though. And 700ish hp isn't bad either.

Herc..........If your'e happy with the price, then buy with confidence because RSI is one of the most respected tuners in the country. Gerald and Jason run a professional operaton and their customer service is second to none. They have modified two of my GTS's and my SRT-10 is going in next week for a Paxton installation. I have always been 100% satisfied with their work. Good luck on your decision.
