I spoke with Mary a couple of weeks ago and she was travelling from MI to PA to stay with her mom and then to NC. I am not sure how far along in her journey she was or if she was scheduled to be back home yet. I sure hope she's OK.

My Viper and I live about 40 miles south-west of New Orleans metro area. I drove the GTS to Houston. Got back at 2am today. House OK, Viper OK... back hurts though after driving 800 miles or so.

Chuck, I've got an Email into Michael Martin who is the Mid South president about any members needing help. I asked if he heard from Mary? She probably went to stay with her Daughter in Atlanta. I will let you know if I find anything out.

Forensicsteve.....Darn I could have saved you a bunch of miles and put you and Viper up here in West Central La. If ever needed again please contact me. Hope all goes well for you in New Orleans...it isn't looking good at all.

Hey Ward,
We are on the east side of Bama and we're fine. I feel for al the people that have been displaced. They have not called upon the Ft. Rucker community as of yet, but they do, we are ready :usa:

I live here in Houston but I'm from New Orleans and all of my family still lives there (they are now here with me in Houston). I have two sisters and they both lost their homes and all of its contents to flooding. We're still uncertain about my mother's home.

Ok, Mike checked in. Anybody else? Where is Mary? JDawg?

My buddy that goes to the V10 races got ahold of John:

I'm not sure if you've talked to John yet, but I just got hold of him a few minutes ago. He said that they had about 75mph sustained winds and some pretty good gusts. He said it got half of his roof and there is some pretty good water damage. He and his wife are ok, though, as well as the horses. His cell phone coverage was pretty intermittent while I was talking to him, and he was actually in town so I got lucky when I caught him. If no one else has heard from him, feel free to pass this on to whomever else may want to know.

Daniel

Hope we hear from Mary soon, but I would have imagined she would have headed out of New Orleans to visit her daughter in Atlanta, and like all of you I am praying she did.

Anyone hear from Dean Mire ( Gonzales , LA ) but working in Texas. Hopefully he wasn't back home, or if he was hopefully he got the Snake back to Texas.

Also , post any word of Fred Leslie in Metairie.

It would be great to have members in Lousiana, Alabama, and Mississippi to post how they are. There are plenty of members out there ( and some past members like Layne and Liam in Jackson ) that we would all like to hear are okay?

Im a victim...in a small way ...Paid $3.15 a gallon for premium today....AL...

i am not usually one to call someone out for a smart remark, hell, i even supply them most of the time. but the fact that you could complain about 3.15/gal when millions of americans are washed out of everything they have, is just plain sick. i watched people on the news, wiggling there fingers through holes in there roof tops to be seen by helicopters looking for survivors! you wanna trade places with these guys. i am sure they wouldn't mind(see, a smart ass comment) :usa:

We didn't have any damage up in North La. I have seen quite a few folks at the hospital who evacuated and made there way up to Shreveport. If we have any VCA members who were displaced and need a place to put their car, I have open garage space for 5 cars right now. I also have a trailer if the car was water damaged and won't start, that they can use if needed. I can store the cars for as long as is needed. Let me know if anyone could use the space.

I spoke several times on the phone in the past month with a Mary from New Orleans, so I think this is the Mary you're referring to. She has been traveling for the past month, driving up to PA to visit her mother and then to MI to visit another relative, then back to PA to see her mother again. Last Thursday she was headed to Atlanta from PA to see her granddaughter, staying overnight Thursday in NC, arrive in Atlanta Friday night. Hopefully she is still there safe and sound.

Norm checked in with a friend. Things are not good. Don't know anything else other than he's alive.

Don't know Norm, but pray things get better for him. At this point it will most likely get worse before it gets better, but I'll keep my fingers crossed. I can't even begin to imagine being stuck down there. :(

Mary called. She's high and dry in Atlanta with her daughters. Her house is one of the few that did not get flooded so her GTS should be ok.

She said to thank the Viper owners for all the prayers and help. She probably won't be able to go home for a few months so I offered my home and I'm sure she will get many other offers as well.

As one would expect, she was more worried about the GTS than the house. LOL

Anybody hear anything from Mike Mroueh(DSR207). I believe he lived in that area. If anyone hears anything, please let me know if he is okay.

Chuck, great news about Mary. If she calls again tell her I said hello and have a place for her and her cars. Ken
