I just put some BBS LM Wheels on My Viper and now it is going to DC Performance to lower the ride height next week. I am looking to see who has the best protecting chin guard for the Viper.I want to try and save as much paint as possible. If anybody has a used chin guard for sale, please feel free to pm me with the details.

Thanks for all the input. :usa:

I am also looking for a chin guard for my 96 RT 10, it seems to rub every time comming out of my driveway and it is not even that steep, but when there is not enuff space to take it at an angle I get a little rub, AVIP why do you think they do more damage?

I have Snake-Oyl one, and it's really well made, and fits snug. I looks great in raw aluminum against my black '94 nose. But, it will not totally protect all areas, and u still can scrape on the sides, bec. it is only for the center area that dips the most. It is added protection, but I have found that it is almost impossible to not scrape at some point. I had the area blended, and then put the guard on.

Dave.

What I've heard from some people is that the way it mounts is such that it can actually tear the bumper in a bad scrape. Again this is not from personal experience as I gave up protecting the bumper a looooong time ago. It's pointless. You can use clear-bra, chin guards or whatever but you will get a scrape at some point. Just don't look at the underside. Now if you want a show car look, tow it. :D
