why cant the vca website be as fast as my srt????

I don't understand this

vipers = speed

viperclub.com is as slow as molasas

whats the deal???? With all the money the club brings in can't we get a better host service with faster transfer rates?

am I the only one that notices this. Its like when i am on the vca its like dialup other competive sites are twice or 3 times faster!!!!! (alley)

My speeds fine actaully! It used to get really slow late at night (2 am pst) but I don't go on that late anymore. Are you having problems all the time??

No, I agree with Viper D

The VCA needs to consider some new servers/internet connections/etc. Sometimes it is so slow here it isn't even worth it. Sometimes the site is just completely down. Happens to me quite frequently.

I did notice that during all the drama last week about admins not paying attention to the members... complaints were listed, among which, someone whined about wanting more emoticons.

I Hear ya.. It make the site sometimes not worth going to. I mean, waiting 30 seconds or more for a page to load is ridiculous.

I have a feeling it's a little deeper. Perhaps the hoster of this website doesn't want to give up the nice reoccuring contract, work, etc.. (Of course this is all speculation)

But dayum, gentlemen.. CAN WE GET THE SPEED UP ON THIS SITE PLEASE.. ??

Mine is so slow some of the time, my page will actually time out. But 90% of the time my speed is pretty good. I have a DSL connection thats shared with my regular phone line for everyone's comparison to what they have/speeds they get

Whatever the reason is, how come none of the site admins/mods/whatever will tell us why this site is so slow sometimes? I made a post in the forum suggestions area a long time ago, and it was never answered there either. WHAT THE HELL'S THE DEAL??? Is it that big of a secret?

Sorry, must have missed it. No big secret. The site is fine for me, I'm on a cable modem, in the house it pops right up, in the shop, on a wireless connection, (I only get 48 Mbps as treh shop is pretty far from the house), it can be slow.

Can you please let me know the following:

Specific time it is slow - i.e. 8 AM to 10 AM
Type of connection - dial-up, cable, dsl, T-1, etc.
through a fire wall? (i.e. at work.......)
if home firewall, which mfg (hardware, software, or both)

We moved one server (the one that hosts the regoinal sites) to the new operating system, but have not moved the Forums server yet.

For what it's worth though, the use of "Prime-Time Television" as the standard for all posts to adhere to is a little beneath us elitist Viper owners.

Maybe Saturday Morning Cartoons would be more appropriate.

Unfortunetly during those times, I just leave the site and I have all the speed necessary to pop up new websites instantly. Then try clicking back into the forums and I fall asleep waiting. So I end up going elsewhere instead of trying to navigate 3 screens to the Question/suggestion area.
