Dodge sells the Viper in low volumes to a set of :D lunatics :smirk: who care almost entirely about forceful, sometimes painful deliveries of power (the 510-hp V-10 produces 0-to-60 mph acceleration in less than four seconds)--and almost not at all about being comfortable.

There was a list of forum quotes going around and the viper joke was quite fitting.

Most commonly found forum questions:

Viper forum: I frightened myself on the way home from work tonight.. how do I remove *** stains from leather? LOL

And a fine bunch of Lunatics we are!

Makes me laugh. If Jaguar built the car they would say it was the ultimate sports car. If Porsche built it they would say it was another performance classic priced very well at $200K

KC - yes, i would have to say that most viper owners are possessed with power. i know i am. the viper engine with its 10 cylinders and 488+ cubes that can now be bored an stroked to over 600 cubic inches is one phat motor. the mod potential of this engine is off the charts. check out www.svspower.com to get a eye opening look at what i am talkin about. go to their video section and look for the "dyno vids". their twin turbo viper has dyno'd 1725 rwhp and raced across the bonnevile salt flats at 246 mph with just a mere 1150 rwhp and a stock body. when the conditions are right i am bettin that the 1750 rwhp that they are making now is gonna push their stock bodied viper to 270 mph

Not exactly.

If Jag built the car they would praise all the ridiculous candyass creature comforts that relegate the thrill of driving to that of sitting in a Lazyboy.

If Porsche built the car they would praise the "timeless" Volkswagon inspired 40-year-old styling.

Painful deliveries of horsepower at uncomfortable levels.
I hate when that happens. Kidneys get pulled to side, liver function decreases and gall bladder acts up a little. Thats why whatever takeoffs you do have to be neutralized by doing the same in reverse to keep your physiology in balance. However, the lunatic part can't be helped. Your stuck with this the rest of your lives.

And for Chrst Sake you guys, stop affecting the rotation of the earth its hurting Porshe sales! Forbes hate that.
