"Show Stealer: ASC Will Unveil "Diamondback" Dodge Viper at Detroit
Date posted: 01-07-2006

SOUTHGATE, Mich. — Inside Line has learned that auto supplier ASC has teamed up with McLaren to produce a new concept called the Diamondback, a 600-horsepower Dodge Viper made out of carbon fiber. The concept vehicle will make its debut at the 2006 North American International Auto Show."

ASC isn't DC. I believe the majority of what they do is chop roofs off of cars and make them into convertibles. This concept is about as meaningful as the tasteless ricer crap that is at SEMA every year.

IF THIS IS TRUE,

1. how are they making the 600 HP? do you guys think this would be NA?

2. the cost would be? 600 HP + Carbon fiber = $

besides, they did say "concept". :(

I agree, I want a factory beast. This is not different then sending a new Viper off to [******] for a venom conversion.

Doesn't mean squat if they won't produce it. I'm putting my money on the new Challenger to hit stores in 2008. That's a pretty throw back!

That's NOT factory, and NOT a big deal due to that fact.

Heffner and others could team up with DC and more than double that power on the street! :bonker:
