I am still hoping that someone somewhere will manufacture some REAL, decent looking, aluminum door cups and door handles. I HATE the plastic. I have trim rings on my door cups from ZAF, still not happy. ANYONE?

Jeff to the rescue! How about a brushed aluminum fuel door as well? There has to be a way to take the old door off and replace it with a different one using the existing hinge.
PS And Jeff, you know what other part I am waiting on!?(Shhh)

I'll do both.

I should probably have them sent out to get anodized to keep the finish. This would work well for brushed aluminum. Polished, however, will turn a bit satin if you coat it (losing some chrome look) but will not dull over time.

Preferences?

Huh?

Does that mean I should not bother as someone else will be making these?

ANACONDA - I disagree with your comment about me having wrong car. Dude, aluminum door cups would look amazing in a Gen. 1 and this is in no way a 'tuner' or 'import' mod. You ever see a 427 Cobra whith all that chrome and metal? Anything on the interior that is cheap plastic that I can upgrade, I am down. Why do you think MGW pieces are in so many Vipers?

Jeff is making the door cups - GEN. 1 guys lets all support him and order plenty of sets so it is worth his time and effort.

And here I am thinking that we were blood brothers. :(
If you know Shadow personally he is a very outlandish character. Always flashing his bling in the faces of unsuspecting Vette owners. Thus the reasons for such harsh words..
Having said this it is obvious my Gen I brothers no longer love me. I will go now and sit in my S2000 and cry......

You guys are funny.

I'm not much of a super bling bling guy, but I do hate an overabundace of plastic. The cars from the 60's are a good reference of how much bling should be in the interior without getting overdone, and I think the cups will look good (not to mention mine are broke).

I'll take some pics tomorrow of the progress so far.

Thanks again Jeff. I think it would be cool for all of us Gen. 1 guys to start a list of who is in on this buy when Jeff makes them so he can have an idea of what he needs, and what he can generate from this.

Dave.
