anyone else?
So No regrets?
No one has moved up to Porches or Ferarris?
Hard to believe.
I guess the ones that have sold their vipers, no longer cruise this board.

When I bought my Viper, my house already had a Porch :headbang:

Change of lifestyle, perhaps might be a reason to sell the Viper....ie.kids,divorce,retirement etc.
I find that in our local Viper Club nobody really drops out...just more people get added on every year.
Viper is undoubtedly an adrenalin rush every time I sit in it...it rocks!

I got rid of my 01 R/T 10 because I tried to daily drive it, and that just wasn't working for me. Bought a C5, which was a much better daily driver, but when I got another dd, I bought the 99 ACR. I had it for a couple of years, which is the longest I've ever kept a car. Got bored with it and bought my SRT. I dumped a TON of money into it, and shortly after the project was finished I got tired of that one. I think I just made it into too much of a race car. I really got tired of the noise, and the chattery clutch. I bought a 911 turbo, and I have really enjoyed it, but I think I'm ready to retire it and get into a Gallardo. That car just makes me sweat! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

That's why I have a new M3 on order, and the Viper is going up for sale :( I will be back though, on that I am sure.

A- He's tired of trailering it behind his comfy SUV.
B- Being too much of a weaner to daily it. He realizes that tieing up $100k (and dropping)just to brag ownership is not worth it.
C- Convices self that a four seater luxury/sports car is superior to a viper.
D- Has the half a million $ to drive a decent Ferrari.

Hey Carrot,

I know you flip cars like burgers. I remember you let the SRT go for a nice price, and was wondering what you're looking to get for the Porsche? I know you probably got a heck of a deal, so pass on the love ;)

If you're serious about selling, shoot me the details.

You would probably get a better response posting this Q on the Corvette, Porsche, Ferrari forums as I would suspect most people on here still have a Viper or had to get rid of it for financial or changing lifestyle type reasons and of course the occasional guard rail. The few people I know that have had them and sold them cite reasons like cabin too hot and quality. The Viper is a special car and it takes a special person to want to own one. The Vipers focus is on one thing, performance and they do that well but not much else. With all that being said for some reason I still want one. I guess I need to find out for myself. Atleast I know what I will be getting into.
