SVS has put together a package where owners of SRT-10's or SRT Coupes would be able to lose over 100 lbs of rotating weight from changing out the stock wheels, tires, and rotors for street driving.

For those of you that don't want to change anything in your engine bay then this is the ultimate package for adding value and higher performance to your Viper.

The wheels are an exact replacement in size and offsets (19x13 & 18x10) in comparison to the stock wheels on both models. They’re the highest quality 1 piece forged magnesium wheels available in the world! There are no compromises in the building of these wheels for integrity, strength and style for the street or track.

Stock Wheels vs. SVS 1 piece (5 spoke) forged magnesium

SRT-10, SRT Coupe stock wheels/tires Michelin Pilot Sport run flat:

Front 18x10 = 60 lbs. ea.

Rear 19x13 = 73 lbs. ea.

SVS 1 piece forged magnesium 5 spoke wheels and same Michelin Pilot Sport:

Front 18x10 = 48 lbs. ea

Rear 19x13 = 59 lbs. ea.

Weight loss by changing wheels and using same run flat tires = 52 lbs

Stock front and rear: 266 lbs.

SVS front and rear: 214 lbs.

By changing to a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport NON run flat (zero pressure) tires you’ll lose another 3 lbs per tire:

Weight loss by changing to a zero pressure Michelin Pilot Sport = 12 lbs

By changing out the stock rotors and replacing with Brembo 2 piece race rotors you’ll lose another 10 lbs. off each wheel.

Weight loss by removing stock rotors and adding Brembo race rotors = 40lbs

Total rotating weight loss wheels, tires and rotors = 104 lbs.

When adding the SVS rotating weight loss package to your Viper you’ll notice that acceleration, deceleration and handling will be greatly improved. When losing over 100 lbs. of rotating weight your drive train will experience less stress under load. Rotating weight loss equals a significant amount of static weight loss and can have a substantial increase in performance.

This is the ultimate weight loss package for your SRT or SRT Coupe.

1 piece forged (5 spoke) magnesium wheels (18x10 & 19x13) $ 10,300

Michelin Pilot Sport Zero pressure tires (same sizes as stock) $ 1,600

Brembo 2 piece race rotors $ 2,500

$ 14,400

The manufacturer builds wheels for F-1, exotics and are the OEM supplier of wheels for Chrysler products.

What do the wheels look like?

Pictures?

Are these wheels really going to be sturdy enough to handle the stock runflats? Lots of lightweight wheels are fine for regular tires, but when you mount runflats, the lack of cushion from the super stiff sidewalls causes the wheels to fatigue.

The outcome is good but the price is way over the top. You can get a set of forgelines which will give the same reduction for 1/3 the price. These better be some amazing wheels for about $2600.00 each.

Come on for 2600.00 they better come with a miniskirt , and be able to **** like a hoover. This viper tax is nuts. Now the swingers will come out , and say the engineering cost x amount , blah , blah , blah.

I just got off the phone with Michelin......

In my first calculations I figured the weights of the tires from the TireRacks website and the 36lb 345/30/ZR19 on their site is what the NON RUN FLAT weighs.

The stock RUN FLAT tire weighs 38.81lbs, what a heavy tire!

I recalculated and made the changes above.

If you just changed out the stock wheels to the mags and used the same run flats that come on your Viper you would save 52lbs. 18lbs more than the sidewinders.

SVS Mag Rear 19x13 20lbs
SVS Mag front 18x10 17lbs

I understand their expensive but they're the lighest and strongest wheel you'll find.

I think the forgeliines you're figuring are utilizing an 18x13 and 18x10 for road racing. Is that correct?

from what i have heard over the years is that manesium is very light, but also quite brittle and becomes more so with age. can anyone confirm or dispell this information?

NEEZ 19x13 20lbs

NEEZ 18x10 17lbs

I was assured that the strength is there for running these wheels on the street.

Going with an 18x13 and 18x10 for road racing would cost $8700 and save a few more lbs weight out of the rear.

It would be exciting to test the package on a new SRT Coupe and see what the advantages would be at the drag strip and on a roadcourse.

We have been running the same set of BBS magnesium wheels on the street, on roadcourses and at high speed racing events since 1998.

They appear to be in the same shape as when we bought them.

At the time the BBS wheels were expensive also.

I will ask about the run flat stiffness in the sidewall and the Mag wheel keeping its integrity.

SVS Turbo -- Thanks for the pictures and link.

Austin or any other photoshop gurus out there, can anyone photoshop these wheels onto an SRT-10 convertible? Thanks!
