Mine's ready to be shipped to Larry Macedo, and has been for some weeks now, but Jeff was still waiting on the Jesel Roller Rockers.

Sir Larry is checking back with Jeff Morys on the expected delivery date.

I just had a set of these heads installed on my Viper that I will be picking up at DLM next week. They are suppose to be the best heads you can buy. I will let everyone know the results when I get my car back.

Kenny I bet you cant wait to get your beast back. So any idea when she will be done?

Probably sometime after the Jesel Rollers are installed on my heads and then after Sir Larry gets them would be my educated guess. ;)

Actually, I can wait to get my beast back. I'm thinking snow and ice in the Smoky Mountains would slow me from getting home, so maybe mid-March or just after the 1st of April (my birthday).

My daughter is in concert at the college she attends and plays in their steel drum band and they play March 31 & April 1st and I don't want to miss it. She's also in their orchestra. I figure each of her "free" concerts I go to costs me around $1,500 each (plus the ticket price for the non-free ones). The cost is her college expenses that I pay divided by the number of her concerts, and with tickets costing me that much , I'm not going to miss any of her concerts.

Has anyone actualy dyno tested these heads?

Although the flow numbers on the heads seem great the factory intake manifold cant even come close to that.

So what would be the actual point of heads flowing 300+ cfm and an intake that flows 200cfm?

I just opened up my Hot Rod magazine and sure enough on page 92 they have an ad in there for JM Viper Heads. It says these heads should outperform any currently available ported production head. There a little pricey but....

Finished looking at the dyno sheets, and have to say these are nice so far. What we really need though is an after market intake manifold to take advantage of the flow and power will be near say a paxton or a roe without any forced induction.

Can you say 800hp NA viper motor?

The Roe Supercharger already comes with it's own intake manifold... :2tu:

Mike Lefevers is just about thru with an aftermarket intake. He is in Placentia. There are a few pics posted on the Alley by Paolo who helped him with the design.

what is the retail price?

Somewhere between "If you have to ask, then you can't afford them." and "less than $100 per rear wheel horsepower".

Try contacting Macedo Motorsports since that's where I'm getting mine from.

There are also two versions - the more expensive one is for racing Vipers that can also be street driven - the other version (the one I'm getting) is for street Vipers that also sometimes race.

you're prolly rite. better save my money so I can get the wheels out from under the trailer and buy some new tornado straps. this year is probably gonna be a rough one.

Mr Macedo is a great guy, but I dont do business with him just becasue you do.

I already have a set of pretty "Good" heads that get me by. My 10.19 on cast pistons is gonna be pretty slow with this new N/A setup.

Good luck racing sometimes and I'll keep dreaming about those expensive race heads. :hitfan:

I spoke with Jeff this afternoon. Seems like a nice guy as well as a straight shooter. Jeff claims that 600 RWHP is readily attainable in a naturally aspirated setup. What I liked was that he stated it was attainable with pump gas at stock cylinder volumes. I like this option because it opens the doors to other mods like forced induction at a later date or not, without a cylinderhead change. Cost for the street heads are around $6,400. This includes rockers as well as push rods. Though I haven't crunched the numbers yet, it seems to rival the cost of forced induction at similar output levels. Though forced induction has it's benefits, massive off idle torque, increased vacuum, emissions compliance (paxton), simplicity, etc. I have always liked NA motors (hotrod idle characteristics), also I am fanatical about not adding weight, particularly at the front of the motor. I also feel that tuning a NA motor at these power levels with Cast pistons is much safer than tuning at these levels under boost.

Anyway got to start saving my pennies, would love to here from you guys when you get your cars back.
