With the bigger shot, I'm now running two 10lb bottles. I filled both of them up last week and have been playing around quite a bit this weekend. So tonight I took the bottles out and weighed them to see how much I was using. Well...one bottle was almost empty while the other was almost completely full. Why is this? I ran with both of them open.

But...important note: One bottle was a NOS and the other a NX...I have another NOS bottle on the way so they match. The NOS bottle was the one with very litle left and the NX was full. Also...another bottle heater is on the way...so I just used the one bottle heater I had, and used it on the NOS bottle.

I figured having both bottles open and heating one would transfer the pressure over to the other bottle?

Heating one bottle, would just allow one bottle to work. Let me know how the two heaters work out. If you look at the numbers, the heaters are about 20-25 amps each, this type of load has to be wired with some care. The battery might not like them either.

As far as the poor sharing between bottles, they will share relative to the flow-resistance of each bottle and the associated plumbing to the common path. If one bottle has an additional turn or bend, this could be the issue. Be careful, NOS has three different bottle valves, each having a different flow rate.

i have only one bottle with an nx heater installed and no way would i try running it without the car running. you can see the rpm's dip when i turn the heater on with 1 unit. i can only imagine 2!!! but seriously, these batteries **** big time, i had a battery go dead while i was at a car show with my hatch open for a measily half hour, forgot to wedge my homemade stick on the button to fool the interior lights off. car wouldnt even crank. good thing my buddy had jumpers to bail me out.

When I fist had the nitrous on the car, I killed the battery that way. But it was 5 years old and the stock battery...so it was time for a new one. Changed it for Duralast Gold bla bla...and it works great. Leave the heater on with the car off all the time without problems.

Also...with the rear hatch open, only the hatch light stays on. So all I do at shows is unhook the connecter for the hacth light, not hard at all, just bend over the back and look under the light :2tu:

Run one bottle open at a time. You don't need two open for a 200 shot, guys (other car types) are spraying waaaay more then that off one bottle. In fact the only reason you need two bottles is if one will not last you one evening.

I read on here that the more volume of nitrous...i.e. 2 10lbers to 1 single helps with the horsepower up top becuase there is less pressure drop and higher flow rate?

If you can monitor the a/f on the dyno, merely see if the car gets richer towards the end of the pull, that would be the due to the pressure drop in the bottle. If it does not, then, you don't have an issue. To add to what Tony said, the only reason for the second bottle would be the added capacity (bottle #1 low, turn on bottle #2).

Another reason would be a two stage set up over 300 hp. I am running over a 350 shot and don't have any issues with a single 15 lb bottle, I do get a minor pressure drop, but, it is livable. I thought about two 15 lb bottles and two nitrous lines, but, the two heater issue stopped me from going that route.

What is the 2 heater issue that everyone is talking about?? I have 2 bottles and 2 heaters and have never had a problem. (40 + bottle fills over 3 years)

Am I in for a surprise??? What exactly is the issue?
