Good call! I actually posted this elsewhere along with some extensive commentary yesterday. You will see that soon enough. In the meantime:

Nice!!!

Now I might have to sell my First Edition as I love the Copperhead with black stripes, Slate with Bright Silver Stipes and red with Black stripes.

Cant wait to see these in person.

Probably like the Copperhead with black stripes the best as it's all new for a coupe and will not be confused with older GTS combos. If you add some carbon fiber parts like the Sema car it will really look like something out of this world!

When are these colors available and does anyone want a 2006 First edition SRT-10 Coupe with a Z06 killing supercharger package as well as many other great performance upgrades ?

sigh... the crayon marketers strike again! These colors are what will REALLY sell Viper. At least we have the z06 beat in the colors category... they only offer 5 choices. The poor, fast ********.

I hear you but the SRT 10 Coupe is such a terrific platform (best Viper ever) all it needs is a little more power and its faster than the Z06 not to mention better looking and a more true "rare" exotic.

Color choices are good especially compared to the Vette as I cant stand thier limited color combos.

Throw a intercooled Paxton on a Coupe and your done! It's simple reliable and the Vettes wont know what hit em.

This is what all Viper owners should do at a minimum and this way we can all laugh as we see the faces of the Z06 owners as they scratch thier head and try to understand HOW they could ahve lost.

The Viper is already better in most categories to me, WE just need to nudge it in the HP/TQ department.

SVS, Woodhouse and many others all provide these simple bolt on installations. If you have not ridden in one I would not knock Dodge too hard as they might put some new technology in the Viper like the Vette which will make it a nightmare to do any easy upgrades to it.

My 2 cents at anyway!

Don't get me wrong... the srt coupes and verts are great. However, DC seems to think different color, limited edition badging, colored panels, and seat stitchings is what will sell Vipers, while for their Benzes, they add more power than a luxury car would ever realistically need. Heck, why don't they go paint their slk's orange and swing some of those AMG resources (money) to the Viper team? Last I checked, Dodge/Chrysler was making more cash than the Benzes. Quit throwing money at the losers!

If anything, more colors means more inventory of unpopular colors. They should have an option where you can buy a Viper with just primer and you bring it to your own paint facility, but comes lighter and more HP. I'd rather paint my own than have to add power that should have come from the factory. Vipers are meant to be NA stock. Whatever you add afterwards is your own perrogative.

they can come out with a 100 color combos, I won't buy a new SRT until they bump the power and get competitive in the performance areas.....

Hmmm... they've already moved on to Slate (almost Graphite) and no Sapphire in sight. That's unfortunate. Sapphire with silver stripes and those silver 5 spoke wheels would catch my eye, oh and another 100 horses.

Thanks for posting the new colors. There are a lot of great new choices. The slate is amazing. Thankfully, I'm driving what is still my favorite combo!

Ditto. I don't care what colors they come up with. Basically, they are putting lipstick on a pig. By today's standards, too heavy and not enough HP. A BMW M5/M6 has equal HP. I won't consider adding a new Viper to my GTS until it is top of the heap out of the box. 600 HP 600 TQ NA minimum...really need 650/650 NA. I'm perfectly happy with my GTS until then. Also, question for all...how many SPECIAL EDITIONS can you have before SPECIAL is no longer SPECIAL???

If you want a 2 seat convertible though there isn't anything else in the category for the money.

last time out at the drag strip, I was beating two SRT Viper's with my E55..... I'm sure they were not the best of drivers, but still.... 4 door cars like the E55/M5 keeping up with new Vipers in the straights?

can't be right? I ran 12.07 @ 116.8 MPH stock in the E55...... with 10 other 12.1 runs.....

you have to be a pretty good viper driver to get into the 11's and beat that time....

E55's are awesome, and can keep up and even take some Vipers. The problem is IT'S A FRICKIN 4-DOOR SEDAN! And a pretty compact one at that. What business does DC have putting that kind of power in a compact sedan while neglecting a true sportscar? But wait... the SLR and slicker MB's seem to have no problems keeping up.

I know... the apologists won't accept that the American brands are being held back on purpose so they don't embarrass the German labels like the Viper once did (but no more). The E55 is proof. Even the SRT chargers can't keep up... makes me sick. :curse:

So true. I wish there was no 'D' in DC.

The SRT-10 was never intended to be a drag racing car ... it's a sports car. So run it hard, brake late, turn in, exit to get back on it, and that E55 is toast in the SRT's rearview mirror. The power and speed of the Z06 is significant because it is another sports car, and can hold it's own against the Viper on the track -- which the E55 cannot.

true, but you think the E55 was designed to be a drag racing car?
