No way. It's a snake. fog lights like a GTS and top looks same as the SRT.

Slighty agreed, part of me still says it's GM super-mega-powerful-homo vette BUT if I'm right McLaren had to do with this car.

On the ASC diamondback concept it had stacks coming out of the hood. I see a cover on that hood and I think that's exactly what it is.

I was told this is a test/mule gen III Viper with the new front end and engine in it (the Viper will stay on the current ZB platform for another couple of years before moving to the ZC platform currently under development). The change in the hood's height at the windshield is for clearance of the new engine. It has been implied to me that the intake is along the lines of the Carbon Fiber concept shown at SEMA a couple of years ago and the ASC Diamondback pictured above. McLaren does have engineering involvement with the updates to the Viper and to the gen IV Viper.

Hi MoparMan. Your post starts off: " was told.." My question is by whom were you told? Anyone who would really know would be subject to a confidentiality agreement that probably has some pretty stiff provisions backed by the economic might of DC. If the person who told you really is "in the know", he or she has exercised very poor judgment. Furthermore, he or she is a disloyal and dishonest employee who deserves to be fired. I would be very careful about trusting anything said by this person. If he or she feels comfortable hurting his or her employer and DC while under the constraints of a confidentiality agreement, how can he or she be trusted to tell the truth about anything?

I saw a 2006 Vette convertable coming toward me today from the opposite direction. It looked just like the vehicle in the photo. I believe that it is a 2006 Vette convertible with a bug bra on the front.

Bobpantax - believe what you want to believe, but the car in the photo is not a vette. For one, the headlight style does not match a vette, neither does the fog lamp (it is round, like a Viper's, a vette's is rectangular). Also, the hood height at the windshield does not match a vette's either. The masking on the front is to prevent people from seeing what the nose of the refreshed Viper looks like - it is not a bra. Regardless of who told me what these details are obvious even in this poor photo. We should be seeing the fruits of this testing in a car at VOI.9. See you there.

every line of that VIPER photo looks hazy except for that sharp "arch" line on that hood. ???

i think it is a photoshop hoax.

besides, if it were the GEN IV viper, it surely appears that nothing has been changed, atleast from the front.
