I think it's all in the master plan as someone mentioned, every few months get somebody to write a critical post and then let the testimonials flood in.
He's a sharp cookie.. :2tu: :)

It made Jon laugh, so I am posting it again here.

On behalf of Viper brother Jon B, my thoughts are: Jon is a genius at getting free publicity. He has the uncanny ability to know when someone calling him is thin skinned. He then deteremines if it has been long enough since the last "JonB is Rude" post. If it has been long enough, the sensitive one is then treated to a course of JonB abruptness which results in a bunch of free publicity and testimonials from the many people, including me, that JonB has helped over the years. I, for one, hope that he never changes. He's one of a kind. His prices are low because his overhead is low. If he hires some smooth talking salesperson, he will have to pay that person and his prices will go up. Besides, he is old enough to have womenapause ( the PC way to say "menapause" for men ) and that may be part of the problem. LOL. Hi Jon. I hope that you have enjoyed this thread.

Jon has a small marketing budget but a very unique way of marketing. You piss off an occassional bottom feeder, who becomes a "victim" , and gets hurt feelings , they run crying to the Board, and all the veterans chime in. Great stuff-seems to happen like clockwork every couple of months or so. I can just picture Jon on the phone thinking, "this one sounds like an Oprah viewer here goes"----" I got 2 PAYING customers on the other lines.

Jon B at Parts Rack has always treated me with respect. He has even sent me parts to evaluate without charging for them.

He's having **** surgery today...so I am sure he will feel much better afterwards...

Seriously, Jon is the biggest friend the Viper community has. Not only is he extremely fair with prices to help all of us out, but he supports the advancement of Viper related motorsports. He doesn't have to do it but does it anyway. Jon B. gets my big thumbs up!!

Jon has gone WAAAAAAAY beyond the call of duty for me on multiple occasions that I've been reluctant to post the details on this board out of concern that I would be advertising some sort of precedent that he would then be expected to live up to with other customers. Since he's lost enough time and money already helping me out on too many occasions, I've just keep some of the details to myself and just keep on giving him my business.

One time I even told him to keep a $100 VCA discount he would have otherwise given me, simply because of what he had already done on the deal (i.e., invested serious time, effort, money and vendor relationships). How far overboard in providing services do you suppose a vendor has to go before the customer says “Look, keep that $100 discount; you’ve more then earned it.”??? Pretty far in my case. I don't give money away, but Jon had been so helpful on this occasion that I actually wanted to pay extra for it. How's that for a testimonial?

Re: Jon B Post-

JonB is great for the Viper community. But, there is no doubt in my mind that some service with a smile attitude and reduced pressure sale tactics would go a long way toward me wanting to do business with him.

He must think we are all millionaires as he questions our need to know something about that which we are spending lots of money for. If I plan on spending $1000 I expect, no make that demand service that is on par with the purchase price. Could you imagine if every store referred you back to the manufacturer for product inquiries? They would go broke as their brokerage of the parts would not be worth the hassle.

My $0.02 (not jumping on the pro Jon band wagon)
