Gas Gauge \"Jumps\" For No Reason

Anyone know what can cause this? I posted a while back about the gauge being off but now while sitting at a few lights I just saw the gauge go nuts. Went from Full to 3/4 in one or two jumps and then back again. Any ideas how to fix this? How much? I will be talking to Chuck again on Monday but until then, wanted to hear if anyone else had this problem.

THANKING YOU ALL IN ADVANCE!

Re: Gas Gauge

It's the sender in the tank. I know there was thread on this a couple of years ago... Mine did it once when I got real low on fuel - apparently some kind of chemical reaction on the terminals of the unit caused by certain additives in the fuel (or them not being there.) Change the brand and it usually goes away, I believe.
Mine did it once and I filled up, took it to a few track events to slosh it all around real well, and it hasn't returned, knock on wood. :)
