I am planning on attending the SRT Track Experience in October at Virginia International Raceway. Has anyone here been to that track? How was it? Thanks Kaya

I went to the one in Vegas, and would highly recommend it to anyone! The instructors are accomplished race car drivers and they love what they do. While I was waiting for my turn to drive, myself and another student got to ride with an instructor driving a 300 with the SRT package. He was the lead car and had 3 Vipers (with students driving) behind him watching his line around the track. He calmly drove with one hand on the wheel and the other going through the gears and talking on the hand-held radio. This may not sound too impressive, but there were 3 of us in a big 4 door car and he was having to SLOW DOWN so the Vipers could catch up. I was VERY impressed with the 300 and gained a whole new respect for the instructors. The key to it is smoothness and control. The Viper is WAY more car than most people will ever use, and I feel the SRT Track Experience give you better understanding of what these cars can do.

I went out to the one at Gateway International in Illinois last weekend, it was a great experience. I learned a few things, had alot of fun. I would do it again. It only sucked that about 2pm a huge storm came through and cancelled the last event. BUT the instructors then took us for laps around the track SIDEWAYS in all of the vehicles doing 80 or so, what a BLAST! There were about 50 people there, only two other guys had Vipers there besides me. One of the guys drove his Copperhead there, I hope it did not get nailed with any of the hail! I live in Baltimore and flew out to St. Louis and then drove about 20 miles over the line to the track. It was worth it! Good Luck!

VIR is the best track for Vipers I think. It's long (Full Course is 3.27 miles; Grand Course is 4.2), has lots of elevation changes, lots of turns of many types, long straights, lots of run-off room and is beautiful overall with oak tress and rolling hills. And it's rich in history. If anyone knows of a better track overall, please let me know, because I've been looking.
