This is not meant to be a slamfest so be nice. I just want to know peoples opinions on the Red/Yellow 96's. You either like them or not. I never really liked them but now it's starting to grow on me and I'm even considering buying one. I know, I know, buy what you like, yes, I already know that. I'm just curious what your honest opinions are. I really like the fact that the color combo is rare and only 166 reds in 96'.

I like it as it...and enjoy the visual pun on Ferrari that it represents (especially as we had two Ferrari's at the time Wife purchased the red/yellow Viper)...and, of 6, it is her favorite Viper !!!

I had one but I put the polished wheels on it. Love the car and like the yellow wheels at times but not all the time.

My biggest concern would be the resale someday. Vipers have such a limited market of interest as it is, then factoring in the controversial color scheme, I'm thinking it's a tough sell. I know it is rare, but rare doesn't always mean desirable. JMO

The quintessential Viper. Emphasises the spirit of the marque. My favorite Viper. Yeah its wild, but is anything subtle about a Viper?

Does it come with fries? ...sorry, I could not resist. But...I did get a craving for a chicken McGrill when I saw the pic. I'm off to McD's for lunch. :2tu:

I think it's very unique and takes a person who is at ease with themselves to drive it. Chad is very cool, just look at all the chicks he picks up!!! :evilmad: I think it may be like the Superbird/Daytona of my youth. We used to point at them and laugh but now who wouildn't want to have one? My $.02.

I dig em.

They're part of Viper history. I'm surpriced that side badge didn't take off more.

I think it is sweet, if you had this car you could get normal wheels and keep the yellow wheels as well, its not a big deal to swap the wheels and you would have a rarer car.

That is a great picture. I never really hated a color on any Viper to tell you the truth and this one is no different. Would I own this color? That is a good question but I do not see why not. To eachs own but once again I love that picture above!

Most seem to like it but wouldn't buy it. So I agree with Mad, that you have to be comfortable with yourself to drive a red Viper with yellow wheels. I love the polished lips on the yellow wheels, really sets them off. This is probably the best picture I've seen of this particular color combo and I'll just bet it looks even more striking in person as most cars do. Boy, my wheels are really spinning now, should I go for it?

I like them, but they are really not that rare compared to a lot of Gen 2 groupings. Red/silver, silver/blue, black/silver, all the Cognac interior cars in whatever color. As an example 119 Black/Silver GTS's were made in TWO years. As far as RT10's anyting with Cognac would be well under this number. I wonder how many black/silver and white/blue combos were made the same year?

Actually, the 96 RT/10's are not GENII's nor are they GENI's which I feel make them even more rare. They had GENI engines with 15 more HP but upgraded GENII suspension components. There are a lot of cool things going on with this car that give it the potential of being highly collected in the next 30 years.
