What are the stock shock settings on a 96 RT/10? How many turns?
The one I'm working on rides like a lumber wagon compared to mine.

p.s. I got crappy dail-up and the search function takes for freeking ever. :nana:

I am pretty sure the stock Koni settings are full soft. When adjusting them, most seem to dial them into the middle of the range with the fronts slightly more stiff than rears.

I didn't know the shocks were adjustable unless it was an ACR edition?

I have a 2001 GTS with stock shocks. Are 2001 GTS's adjustable too?

Yes Matt they are.I went 1 and 1/2 turns from soft front and around 1 and 1/4 from soft rear.I have eibachs and its good on the street. Not too stiff. Some prefer stiffer especialy up front for more heavy tracking. Bruce

Hom much of a difference does setting them in the middle make for tracking the car? Do you loose a lot of ride comfort?

The shock setting will surprise you. Changing them will be like what you expect stiffer springs to cause. Everyone will have their own flavor, but fronts a little more than middle and rears a little less than middle is a good track setting and since your rear is closer to the car's rear, won't upset your ride comfort.

When my springs were set to a soft position it wheel hopped like crazy. Went back to full stiff & wheel hop stopped.

Hey Bo are you running stock springs? Also is your car an ACR?
Factory setting on a Non ACR Gen 2 is full open with factory springs.
I installed Eibachs and set my front to just slightly open (1/4 turn) and my back to half open (1 1/2 turns). Full open to full close should be about 3 turns.

How much of a pain in the ass is it to remove the sruts from the car. Will I need a realighnment once struts are reinstalled?

I would like to tighten up the suspension as I think it is too soft on my 2001 GTS. If this does not do the trick I think I see replacemnet springs in my car's future.

So how much of a pain in the ass is it to remove and install on a 2001 GTS? How 'bout allignmnet after adjustment?

Thanks in advance
