Yep, wife plops the news to me that she's pregnant for our second child last night. Very, very unexpectantly and not planned. Am I excited? You bet. The sad news is, I built our house a couple years back with an unfinished second story as I planned to do this years later. Those years caught up to me. The car would be some quick liquid cash, so it goes first. I listed it here in the classifieds but here's some details:
Car includes Autoform Hardtop/windows, factory softtop/windows, tonneau cover, 19/20" CCW's, extra set of Hart wheels/tires, Roe Racing 3" stainless exhaust with high flow cats, smooth tubes, S&B filters, lowering spring caps, Hurst short throw shifter w/ MGW knob, Lloyds floor mats, car cover, fresh repaint on front fascia, etc.... Baby on the way, car gotta go. I'm asking $37,500 but will entertain serious offers. Title in hand so it'll be a painless purchase.

It's a '94. It currently has ~24600 miles. From what I can tell, the head gaskets haven't been done but not sure. I'll help out the new owner with the cost of new head gaskets. Tried dumping her once, but it was a whole lot cheaper to keep her at the time. Now, it's a non issue. :)

I'll beat Chuck to it.... keep the car, dump the wife :)

That's one option. But I know of a Korean sneaker manufacturer that will pay big bucks for the kid.

Chuck, your not sick, but your not well. :D

Congrats on your new child but I wouldn't sell the Viper. If your child ever finds out you sold your Viper because of him/her, they'll never for themselves. Serious shink bills. :buttkick:

Yea, Chuck is kinda sick. (Chuck, pm me the contact info for the Korean manu :D ). I have no monthly bills besides utilities so I can't shrink those anymore. I'm not in a money bind, just don't want to dig in the savings when I have so much equity in the car (plus the wife hates it). Trust me, it will be replaced with something else before he or she knows about a Viper.

Trust me, I'm looking. I just want half the utility bills paid and child support. The baby can stay. Hmmm, does the movie Me, Myself & Irene ring a bell? :D

I took it as the bills for the shrink doctor (too early to spell psychiatrist)........either for you or when the child finds out later in life "dad you SOLD your Viper because of ME"?

Those wheels look SUPER, didn't you just get them?

Congrats on the future addition

Best of luck on the sale!

Good luck with the sale, Viper looks great! :2tu:

Now on to bigger and better things, your child will be the MOST important thing in your life. Enjoy it, and tell your wife not to get jealous! :D

Congratulations!

Oh, I see. :D I got the wheels a couple months back, so they are pretty much brand new (~750 or so). I want to follow in the foot steps of ab here on the forum. My ultimate dream since a kid was to own a Lambo, so the quest will begin in a couple years. Thanks guys! :D

You are the opposite of me! I bought my Viper 2 weeks before my wife delivered our first child. She had a lot of trouble getting into it 9 months pregnant! We now have two girls 4 and 6... and still have " Raaa Raaa Rhummmm" as our daughters call her.

That's my motto also. I'm 34 with a 2 year old and another on the way. I believe I waited long enough. I've always owned a Corvette since I was 19, so I've never been deprived. :2tu: Trust me, this car will be replaced within the next two years with something else and it won't be a minivan. :D
My motto: Get the toys before them boys. :D

Ronnie,
I think it's commendable that you realize what your priorities are and are being fiscally responsible. I wish I was more like you - instead of the "instant gratification" mentality that I have.
Good Luck and Congrats.
