New lowered pics on SSR\'s

Just got the car back today from Leading Edge Performance who installed a set of Aldans with 500/700lb springs, lowered it, corner balanced it, and had some maintenance items done to it. Car drives great after getting back. Took it through a few runs bridge to bridge with no tire spin today up to about 170mph. So it looks like it should be good to go for some good action tomorrow at the rollons. Time for redemption!!! Only excuse if this car doesn't kick ass now is the driver *****!

Tell Brady I did good. :2tu:
I ran the Virtual Works Supra that got me in the last race again today. Last time I spun through 3rd and 4th he beat me by 3-4 lengths. This time 180 degree difference, as we both hooked good with no spin and I beat him by 3-4 car lengths. I will post the video when I get my copy. I ended up hitting a little more than 180mph right before the end, as I let off with about 100 yards to go.

Congrats go out to Garth at Leading Edge Performance, as this car is 10000000% better than when I got it! Before it was scary on the stock pilots, but with the new SSR's, drag radials, Aldans and four corner, its a piece of cake to drive. I could have let go of the steering wheel at 180mph and the car would track straight as can be. Totally different driving car than what I started out with.

Not sure as we four cornered it and that really sets up what the drop will be, from what I hear. I can go measure it if you really want to know for comparison. Basically the front I can get my hand in between the fender edge and the top of the tire, the rear is a little more space.

How do you like the way the BFG drag radials handle / ride on the street?

Are those stock size Pilots in the front?

Good run with the Supra.

Stock pilots on the front. So far the BFG's have been great. I am having them go one stiffer on the shocks currently. I had them set in the middle and it was too spongy for me.

Car looks great. How are the Aldans holding up? Did you find a setting you liked? Do you mind telling us what the shock and corner balancing cost? I'd like to find a alternative to Motons. Thanks!

Woah..You took out the Virtual Works Supra by multiple carlenghts...Geez man..Jusr ridiculous..And your Viper is a full streetcar to boot......Like the lightweight rims and drop...This car is prime for the Street Serpent body kit...

I ended up 3 clicks from the middle setting stiffer on the Aldans. Rides very well now. I purchased the shocks for $1100 I believe they are are from Jon B. Installation was 4 hours time at $80hr for installing the shocks and four corner balance and the cost of the alignment on top of that. So I am in about $1600 total to lower the car, four corner balance and alignment.

Thanks. Does the car ride different than stock? I hear the Motons and KWs are much less "bouncy". Have you ever driven the car (after the Aldans) on a road course? Thanks for the response!

I have never driven the car on any course but the street, so I have no data to give you. It rides different than stock, but I cannot say it rides worse or better than stock, as I thought the stock ride was terrible. The Aldans were bouncy, however after stiffening them up they are fine for me on the street. If I was tracking this car, then the Aldans wouldn't be on there, I would have went with the Motons or Penske. I just didn't see paying $4k+ to just lower my car for street driving, I have other things to waste my money on.
