I recently purchased a Final Edition Daytona 24 by Autoform. She is #7 of the 9 Daytona 24 cars built & I believe 1 of 4 that were FE's. In study of photos I can see there are some differences. This 1 came w/ the optional 19" Forgelines & not the BBS wheels. I see decal differences too.

Are there any Daytona 24 owners out there? Contact please.

congrats.....I was at AutoForm visiting my SRT10(they used my car to design the wing/hardtop etc etc) when they were finishing the last couple of the Daytona Vipers....it has been a few years, but I thought all of them were Final Editions...if I remember right, the decal packages were somwhat optional...

We sold all of the Autoform Daytonas , and only one was done with the Forgeline rims, so yours is alone with this addition. If I remember correctly , there are 5 FEs, and a total of only 10 cars ever built ( not counting the Prototype ). The Prototype was done for Bernie Katz ,who raced it in Viper Days ( it had some items quite different from the finished models, using CCW wheels for instance ). Two of the cars are in England, though reports say that both have been sold, so I am only assuming they are still in Great Britain --- could have even wandered across the Channel for all I know. That leaves 8 in the US, with only one have the stock rims, one with Forgelines and the rest with BBS LM rims. The first one, which was sold to an English Lord, but stayed in the US, is the only 2000 model and was last known to be in California. Since these cars were all officially authorized by Daytona International Speedway, they have the potential in the future to be hidden gems , as the process to secure an okay from the Speedway was quite difficult. Congrats on your car, and it should make you feel great to know there are only , currently, 8 in the US.

Sincerely,
Bill Pemberton

I'm going to take a wild guess and estimate this car to be a $15K option over the "normal" 2002FE. Anyone have any idea of the extra cost for the Daytona version FE?

And what options are we talking about? Decals, wing, wheels. Oh, that front sure looks different. Anything else?

Great car BTW enjoy,

The car came w/ the centered louvred hood, roll bar, carbon fibre roll bar cover, Autoform nose, splitter, diffuser, tow hook, graphics, simulated roof air intake, wheels, rear spoiler, certificate (mine says #7 of 9), a plaque, & stuff I can't think of @ the moment.

Pieces are carbon fiber look, but not carbon fiber. If I remember correctly the price was an $11,900 add, not including wheels, exhaust, etc. The cars all have painted stripes, no tape on any of them. Autoform took alot of time per car, and this caused the project to have a minimal profit, so owners got way more than they bargained for.We actually let them ( Autoform ) keep some take off pieces to recoup some profit, as they were very cautious that the cars came out spectacular. You have one beauty there and it will continue to be a rare machine down the road.

Best Regards,

The #6, 7, 8, & 9 Daytonas are on the FE web site. It appears that @ least 2 are in Cal, 1 in Or, 1 in Wis, & perhaps 2 in England.

both Daytona's are still in the UK, and both are owned are by a father and son
and are running the full decals as Baz's pic above.

I chatted to the son just a few weeks ago, though the father is selling his daytona (which is Bazs pic above) after a few months of ownership,

it was heavily modified DC Performance in CA and included:
upgraded cooling system with Ali rad
custom fabricated air induction
crankcase vent system
upgraded power steering cooler
Bellanger headers, hi flow cats, 3" cat back
inconel exhaust shields
side sill vent system
AEM management
RPS carbon flywheel and pressure plate
close custom ratio performance transmission
unitrax race diffs (1000 hp rated) with torque sensing unit
Chromoyl driveshafts, diff rebuilt and strenghtened
Toe link stiffeners street/track alignment
Brakeman brake kit, SS lines
Roll bar, race harnesses

the engine has some very nice parts:
Caldwell developed built engine 488cu
Carrillo Rods
JE pistons
Blueprinted oil pump
performance bearing and piston rings
Tru roller timing train
port matched and extruded honed intake manifold
CNC ported cylinder heads with ARP studs
dual valve springs with titanium retainers
custom large diameter intake and exhaust valves
1.7 ratio roller rockers
heavy wall heat treated pushrods of custom length
deck sufaces squared to crankshaft centerline
bores honed with deck plates
ATI harmoinc dampeners
custom resized fuel injectors
fuel pump voltage booster
Dynamometer test 650+bhp
