"Its a bold new styling direction, provided in part, by Carl Dumont a 35 year veteran here at DC. As head of janitorial services, Carl has great experience at recycling and we are proud to have his input on this new model year. This new platform will be the repository of our new 700hp engine."

Carl drives a Mako Shark and loves to watch "The Dukes of Hazard"

ROTFLMAO! :) :)

But I believe in order to live up to tradition, this "Reptilius Maximus" needs 5 portholes on each side. :usa: :usa: :usa: :usa: :usa:

Now that's not nice. You do realize that with the three portholes on the side someone will see this picture and explode on their blog that they now have apicture of the new 6 cylinder Viper-----------please refute that these are not exhaust ports before all Heck spouts forth.

PS-- I do like those roof scoops though.

Buick recognized the supreme advantage to portholes, way back in the 40s. Its no suprise modern designers are rediscovering their value.

Corinthean leather sets the tone for the new interior in 2009. The subtle feel of quality now permeates the redesigned interior. Seats now incorporate the new three fanged "Hisss Majesty" logo.

Actually, if I remember the ad right.....I think the complete phrase from old Ricardo was: "Fine Corinthean Leather" A pool partner of mine at the time had a Cordoba with this fine leather in it.......always good for a joke or two.

I like the 2008 Viper but the 2009(If not the posters Photoshop work and idea of a Joke) needs work. The portholes :nono: remind me of an old Buick. The number of hood louvers :bonker: remind me of a fifties Hot Rod hood punched out like a sponge. Where are the Lake Pipes?

Fred, Spy photos are like that.
Now that you mention it, I think you have picked up on some important points.

Portholes = Old Buicks
Louvers = 50s Hot Rod
Lake Pipes = lake pipes? Hang on...Carl? Carl says its a go! As it will go with the new front fascia.

What's that Carl? I don't know, but I'll ask. Fred, what do you think of numbers on the side?

Who says DC doesn't listen!

Love the new front fascia, but now "Reptilius Maximus" needs a triple deck rear spoiler to match. :)

Photoshop artists, on your marks.....

Lets see to go along with that old Buick look consider skirts and a continental kit.

Nah... That would be so passé!

However, "Reptilius Maximus" should have 5 port holes per side.

Dan, Dan, Dan! You are "Da Man"! :2tu:

Many thanks for your good-natured and creative sense of humor. :headbang:

Now, if we could just get DC to pay attention to our suggestions....... :bonker:

Now this is all in good humor boyz. We are just having fun here. Right?
We all get a kick out of our Vipes and this site and are thankful for both.

The big news upcoming from VCA today?

First release of the cell phone video of the hanging of the designer of the new 08 hood. Tragic event with a group of masked guards chanting "you can't be Sadr-ious, new body, new body"

Nah! Much too Japanese Aftermarket. :smirk:

But the American Flag on the "Aileron" triple deck spoiler vertical support might be the crowning touch. :usa: :usa: :usa:

The side skirts would hopelessly interfere with the Lake Pipes.

Also, the tri-level front wings built into the fascia elegantly supersede the need for a front splitter.

And regarding the super-low profile tires: web page :2tu:

And may I repeat the request for 5 port holes per side. :evilmad:

'Rich...Corinthian leather.'
The pause inbetween rich and corinthian is all important.
I had it in white in my '81 Cordoba LS, believe it or not that leather was very, very nice.

Corinthian leather From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Corinthian leather was a phrase invented for marketing use to describe the leather used in certain Chrysler luxury cars in the 1970s. The first use of this term was to describe the leather in the 1974 Chrysler Imperial, but the best known use of this term is from the advertising campaign for the 1976 Chrysler Cordoba, featuring celebrity spokesperson Ricardo Montalbán.

According to one source, the term was created by employees of the Young & Rubicam advertising agency [1].

Corinthian Leather is a marketing term that does not actually indicate any particular type of leather. In fact, according to one reference, Chrysler's "Corinthian" leather was mass produced in a plant in Newark, New Jersey (not Corinth).
