Well, I have been on this site for atleast a year now reading about everything you guys have to say about vipers and I have learned a lot. I have wanted one since I was 14. I decided that the one I wanted was an '06 coupe, blue with silver stripes. I was hoping ot wait until May to get it, but I noticed they were drying up lately, so I decided to pull the trigger on Sunday night and just buy the car. I really couldn't take it anymore. I talked with several dealers around the nation and felt most comfortable with John Gastman at Roanoke. John was absolutley great to work with and is extremely knowledgable about the vipers. He spent a lot of time on the phone with me lately and I couldn't have asked for more. His driver drove from Illinois to here in Maryland in the storm. I really can't say enough about John. I HIGHLY recommend him. I added the Corsa track exhaust and changed the shif knob to a shorter one. Only problem I have now is that we have a lot of snow here so I can't drive the car yet. I am also leaving town on Friday for a week so it will be while before I get to drive it for the first time. This is my first viper and all I can say is THIS CAR IS BAAAAAAAD!!! Can someone please post my pics on for me. Thanks again for everyones advice and I look forward to meeting some of you in person at events.

Congratulations!! :headbang:

I'm in the same situation as you, well almost. I bought my first Viper, an '06 Coupe, two weekends ago. I was able to drive it home that Saturday and a little bit on Sunday, but then it went in the garage because of bad weather. Now today we're getting snow/freezing rain to make the already-messed-up-roads, even worse. :(

In time I'd like to upgrade my exhaust as well. I want to find something that will cut down on heat but is not too loud (at cruise anyway).

I managed to upload a couple of pictures into the gallery so I could post them in my thread.

If you want, you can e-mail me a couple at [email protected] and I should be able to load them up for you.

Nice, I like how it went from the trailer right into the garage without even being exposed to the outside. Now if the snow would just melt and the salt dissapear you will have it made in the shade. LOL

I love the blue and silver, one of the nicest color combo's IMHO. Next to Slate that is.

I wasn't even paying attention to the surroundings of the car when I posted them for you - Didn't realize you had snow as well. That is cool how it went right from the enclosed to your garage!!

Doug,

John is a great guy. I met him a few years ago at a Midwest Rendezvous and later a VOI. I called him a few weeks ago to let him know I was in the market for a blue/silver coupe and he still remembered my wife and me. He had told me of one that was in his inventory that had 25 miles, and I was focused on that one until I ran across an awesome deal that I couldn't pass up on another blue/silver. John called back for a follow-up and I told him I had found another while he was at the Detroit Auto Show, and he said if there was anything I needed or any questions I have to give him a call anytime. Even though I didn't make the purchase through him, he is still there for me, and that is a great mentality to have, as a person and a Viper dealer! He said he would let me know when the '08s come in and maybe do some business then. ;)

Congrats on the new ride! Looks gorgeous and you definitely got it from a great dealer.

Unfortunately, we all know your car has been driven in the snow now - about 12" on the left and 2" on the right. ;)

Again, congrats!

Viper Doug a beautiful ride and I know that you are going to enjoy your new Viper. Ive had my 2006 B/S coupe since last July. I really like the color.

Hope you dont mind but since we have the same color I would like to offer a suggestion and a pic on the interior ,and you may not like this. I got the silver painted dash pieces from parts rack and like Jon said it is like a continuation of external silver stripes.

Your car was one of the ones that I have admired for some time now. The pics I kept seeing of yours were just stunning. I also really like the silver dash pieces and I'm thinking about it. Right now I am really dying to drive this thing. I've noticed that in the daylight the blue gets even darker which is really nice. One thing I will say is that the Dodge Viper is one car that pictures just do not do any justice for. Much nicer in person.

Thanks for comment.

It would be tough having that beautiful Viper and not being able to drive it. I bet your doing a lot of looking. I am trying to survive till I get mine back. Our weather is not as bad as yours in fact a mild winter so far.

Ive had quite a few cars but the Viper is the best. The paint is tremendous and the HP and torque is very impressive.

The Viper blue is beautiful. It matches the Kentucky Wildcats Blue--Go big blue--but they lost last night. :(

Can someone please identify and explain to me what the white flaky substance is on the ground in front of the houses in the picture? LOL

John and Dennis are both great guys to work with. :headbang: I bought my new 06 red vert from them in Nov and got the free trip to Germany.
I know it ***** to not be able to drive the new snake I am in the same boat here and we just got about another 10 -12 inches of the white stuff yesterday :evilmad:
I am fortunate that I am only 25 miles away from Roanoke Motors and the viper tech Dave is my cousin. :D So when it comes to service I am able to take my Viper to the best. :2tu: I hope you can find a great Viper tech in your area, having one I think is very important. [b DON'T DON'T [/b] let just any idiot drive your new toy :bonker: :buttkick:

The pics in my avatar are actually taken in the grass at the front of Roanoke Motors.

P.S. The new toy is beautiful. That would be my second choice for another Viper. I would love to have a coupe also. You can never have to many Vipers.
Roanoke always has about 50 new and/or used Vipers in stock.

Neat car. The smile on your face says it all.

I still can't relate to the weather that you guys put up with.

I think I'd go into shock if I couldn't drive my car for more than a week or two.

We'll be out driving mountain roads in our Vipers this Saturday in 75 - 80 degrees, top down, hat and sunglasses on, pedal to the metal.
