DC Parts has released another Race Track Generated Product (RT/GP). The lack of a “Dead Pedal” has been an ongoing complaint about the Viper since its inception. With the long footwell tunnel there just isn’t anywhere to put your left foot. This can be a big annoyance on the street or the track.

DC Parts has released their “Billit” Dead Pedal with Metal Adjustable bracket, giving the Racers a solid platform for their foot, during competition or long drives.

That definitely LOOKS cool, but the price is definitely a bit high. Also i would be concerned about the space between it and the clutch, there is not much room on the left for the dead pedal......

Thanks for the feedback. The dead pedal is adjustable so you can position it where you want. I have really large feet and am always having problems hitting the wrong pedal unless I am wearing the right shoes. On Gen 1 Cars, if your clutch pedal bushings are worn you could get close to the dead pedal. On the Gen 2 cars this is not an issue. The pedal kit comes with instructions and pictures.

Hope this helps,

How does this compare to the one that VipAir came out with a few months back? they had trouble selling it for the same price so they dropped the price to $99. I still don't know if any sold.

Same unit? different unit?

JD, I was thinking the same thing. When he dropped the price by 100.00 I was turned off. Lost alot of credibility.

I'm sold if I can see a copy of the instructions and a pic of all the pedals with a ruler measuring the room between the dead pedal and clutch!

I just keep my left foot flat on the floor just under the clutch pedal. My knee rests against the seam in the door panel near the handle, pefrct fit. I am 6' even. This has worked for 500 mile trips with no discomfort. Where are you guys sticking your feet?

I'm 6'2" and do the same, but a dead pedal would be nice if there is enough room for it.
