In my youth, I had a 6 cylinder Honda CBX, beautiful Ferrari sounds from the six pipes @ 9K rpm. Fast forward to a 10 cylinder Viper. Curious to how many people have had a 6 cylinder bike and and a 10 cylinder car.

never owned a honda CBX. but i have raced against one with my motorcycles at the drastrip before. pretty cool bike. i think my yamaha V-max is a pretty cool engine in a streetbike. i see that jesse james took a small radial airplane engine and built a custom chopper around it recently. very unique and truly one-of-a-kind peice of master craftsmanship he did.

V-Max is a cool bike - no doubt!

The 1300 ccm in a XJR1300SP are good enough to drive in 5th gear all-day-long
Same low-end-torque feeling!

Been riding a 1990 ZX-11 for 17 years (1st year of the ZX-11, probably first week's production; serial number #00072), in addition to a couple of Vipers. The bike is only four cylinders, but faster than the (stock) 6-cylinder bikes  . Had a buddy with a CBX for few years with the dual 3 into 1 pipes - agreed, it sounded great; just like a Ferrari. I'm fairly sure there is a local (NorCal) club member with three or four CBX's - a bit of a collector of them.

I have actually had (2) 4 cylinder bikes that were faster than the 6 cylinder CBX; they were an 81 GS 1100E and an 04 Hayabusa, a real fast bike. That CBX was a nice bike and I wouldnt mind having another one someday.

I LOVE the cylinder count...and the horsepower. My bike has 8 cylinders, and 385 HP. I have owned 2 of these, and LOVE them!

I always wanted a CBX as a kid but I later settled for 2 opposing cylinders and a V10.

I too had a Honda CBX. Like you said the Ferrari of motorcycles. I'm thinking about buying a 2008 Suzuki Stratosphere - if they build it.

Suzuki Stratosphere information :headbang:

I remember seeing that in Cycle World a few months back. It kinda reminds me of the old Suzuki Katana, 1982, if memory serves me correctly. If it is anything like the CBX, I wouldn't mind adding one to my stable. :2tu:
